+ great pacing, game after game after game, not spending too much time on one game
+ a shit ton of third party games shown (sekiro, DMC, Just Cause, Dying Light, the division etc etc)
+ minimal time spent on indies (with the showcased indies actually being very good choices (tunic, session) )
+ five new first party studios
+ The core microsoft franchises had promising showings (Halo, Gears, Forza)
+ Promoting Xbox Game Pass on the E3 stage (and finally having AAA third party games on the service)
- Not many exclusives revealed, outside of the core three franchises (I am not feeling battletoads, for some reason)

One of the best E3 confrences this gen, the only better one I can think of right now is Sony E3 2016.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I made a thread about this and didn't see this was one .... Just gonna bring what I said in there.

I am giving this conference a pretty good with a 7.5 out of 10. What I really Liked was the announcement of acquiring 1st party studios, Mainly Ninja Theory as I have really enjoyed their games and I think Microsoft picking them up is really good for them. What I didn't like, the Typical Halo, Gears, Forza etc. (all three were announced ... I mean come on) and just not a lot of new IP's form Microsoft. I feel like Microsoft is definitely seeing that they need first party like Sony and Nintendo and they are taking the correct steps towards this.

Yes this was my feeling as well. The beat part was the announcement of the studios they were buying and NT in particular. They have done a lot to reassure their fans about games. However again it was the same exclusives in show, which i find disappointing - i hope and expect that all of these new studios (other than Playground) works on new IPs.

On another note good on them for securing some Japanese games and for getting Nier A.

7.5/10 from me too.

The Good:
5 new studio's
Gamepass is amazing value and keeps getting better
Gears 5 looks amazing
The future for Xbox looks brighter then ever,

The Bad:
To much spencer (there is sutch a thing)

8.5/10
Missing that killer new IP, but I guess thats for next gen

This

8.5 out of 10.
Best conference so far. They showed game after game after game, with little PR talking in between. It was only missing that one BIG surprise game that would absolutely floor everyone for me to put it over the '9' threshold.

I actually love the direction GamePass is headed, with sameday new realeases getting tossed in. Enough for me to subscribe. $60 to play all the first party games and then some in a given year is a great deal.

The annual cost is $120.  It is still a great deal though, especially if they can continue to add major 3rd party stuff, like they did with the Bethesda games last night.

IMO, that's the biggest news our of the show - third party AAA games on GamePass.  Now, what I'd really like to see them pull off is AAA third party games within a year of launch.  That, even if it meant a price hike to $15 per month or so, would make the service irresistible to most people, I think.

It was really good. I'd give a solid 8/10

New Forza, Halo, Gears.
Ori and FH 4 STILL best in show, gameplay, aesthetic.
New studio aquisitions.
Amazing flow of game after game, first parts and 3rd party games. Variety of games from Tales, Forza, to shooters.
Commitment to Xbox's future.

9/10 Best conference so far at E3.

I give it 2/10.

Microsoft didn't do anything super stupid this year like "Minecraft in 4K", but other than that it was terrible. The only new first party game they have coming out this year is Forza. Everything else is a third party game that is also coming out on PS4/PC or else it's a trailer for a game that is nowhere near release. That Halo game is still years away. They've got no gameplay for it at all. Gears is years away too.

Microsoft has nothing. They made a lot of announcements, but who knows when any of that will actually be released? All they did is make a bunch of promises with no indication of delivering on those promises any time soon.

It was great.
