I don't even expect FF16 from them, FF15 was out 2 years ago and there is nothing on FF16 at all.

Yes there is.

This is the project name for Final Fantasy 16. There is a reason that SE showed this like 300 times. There is a reason why all SE's next gen tech demos are all centered on this concept.

Here is part 2 : CRY

SE is already hard at work on FF16. They even had a ad asking weapon designers

An ad by an anonymous company was recently posted on Japanese job recruitment site ECareerFA recently, indicating that a 2D artist is needed for a "super-famous RPG series."

Tasked with creating the image of “a certain RPG’s numbered title”, he or she will work on the concept art of towns, fields, dungeons, background props like furniture and emblems, vehicles, weapons, items, and map icons.

With all the nostalgia bomb dropping regarding FFT and Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre a few weeks ago I'm really, really hoping for another game announced in that vein, even if it's mobile. I'm expecting a short tease for FF7R but no gameplay.

On a side note:Other than Octopath and maybe whatever the Cjrono trigger director is working on, an easy announcement, as to show the newfound enthusiasm for the Switch Square announced just a few weeks ago, they could port FF X remaster and FF XII remaster to the Switch.Easy ports, high quality games and they never been on a Nintendo system before.I dont know, I think it makes too much sense.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I think they will, but they best do it last so it doesn't overshadow their other showings, namely Dragon Quest XI.

Parasite Eve a possibility? SE was recently hiring for a shooter.

That would actually be pretty cool, but I'm sure that announcement would happen at Nintendo's show. SE did say their new Switch studio would focus on original titles for Switch though.

Could be.I just think that Nintendo having their own conference wouldnt stop them from announcing one or two games for that system in their own conference.Given that Nintendo also has to maintain their own conference pace.

They've released 'concept' stuff before, I mean remember PS3 FF7 tech demo? If that was a foreshadowing, I can't wait for FF16 in 2028.

Honestly, I understand some people might be optimistic but SquEnix (the Japanese side at least) have not exactly set the world on fire recently.

Hmm, pie.
