Or it could be that China will pay labor a tiny fraction of the cost of US labor. Taxation is a minor cost by comparison. |
Still couple decades ago the labor/produced unit was still quite competitive in USA.

Vote Progressive. The only vote that has getting big money out of politics on their agenda.

But there is no Progressive Party in the US.
Ever watch an American TV stream. I swear 60% of it is commercials about the most disgusting and slimy food I have ever seen, and most of the rest of it is about drugs; yeah, fucking pills.
I’d say relaxed American advertisement regulation has a lot to do with it combined with the fact that Americans are about the most easily brainwashed people in the world.

Are you stating this as a positive or just a matter-of-fact? It's hard to tell. The UN revealing the truth about how "bad off" US society is could contribute to the reason why people don't pay attention to it. Ignorance is bliss. |
A bit of both. Revealing the truth? The US collects its own data objectively and any people who pay attention to statistics knows of the issues within the US. The UN's report is politically motivated and their opinion doesn't matter in the slightest.

They do not get it all back. You have no idea how taxes work and that frankly is quite sad. |
He's absolutely right. Low income folks typically have all of their withheld federal taxes refunded each year. Obviously this doesn't exempt them from paying for social security or medicare, but poor people don't pay income tax the vast majority of the time. That's why Trump's tax cuts weren't very impactful for many.
Of course, if you're single and have no tax credits, then the line to pay tax is super low.
Last edited by outlawauron - on 12 June 2018Problem with America is that you have two political parties that have monopolised power since the inception of the country. And while they bicker over trivial issues, the main problems are neglected which is why identity politics suits both parties very well. End of the day, they're still in power and in control of the establishment while everyone else is debating gender types.

I meant Progressive candidates. (I.E. Bernie Sanders)
If your goal is to get big money out of politics then why would you opt to have your economy run by these same
politicians? It’s so contradicting that it’s laughable. Get money out politics! By throwing all of our money into politics!
