Forums - Website Topics - Reaction Threads During E3 Will Be Locked

I have a problem with this because when you post in a thread with a billion other posts, it's just going to get buried and no one will be able to discuss what you have to stay and if what you have to say is interesting and adds something to the community, that is a huge loss for all of us.

It's too bad they just can't be curated for quality etc.

Thankyou! And I think this should permanent!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Good decision

Sounds good to me.

Completely agree - megathreads tend to get all over the place very fast.

Besides, if it's not against official rules, I don't see why should anyone ("I'm imposing") get the urge to pass this type of decree...bad threads fizzle out quickly anyway.

Because during E3 the page will be fill of these threads, drowning out the good threads with these throw away ones. I'd rather the homepage was fill of discussions on game announcements personally.

So, in your opinion, those specific threads, that CGI is imposing ban on, can't be, by default, any good?

Imo opinion they are usually very pointless if it's already being discussed elsewhere. Especially the examples given by CGI. But that's just my opinion.

I understand the decision, and even support if, from a quality-of post perspective, but this could also lead to less traffic than we might potentially get during this huge event. Then again; unwanted traffic is no loss. I'm feeling kinda ambiguous about this myself, but I do understand your choice. A poorly constructed OP will lead to poor discussions.

make sense, that is what twitter is for.
