Seriously though, is even possible to answer this question with anything other than a variant of "because they taste good"?

But for sweets it's suppose to taste good. That's why it's called sweets.

For sour snacks it's supposed to taste terrible. That's why it's called sour.

In all seriousness though, the poll shows that my opinion on sour snacks is the minority. I honestly thought it would be more split but meh.

I don't like all sour candies but sour skittles are delicious and probably my favorite sour candy with sour punch (sour flavored red vines) probably my close second favorite.

Sour is a taste... There is nothing inherently terrible about it, and sour candy certainly isn't supposed to taste terrible. That's ridiculous.

It was a joke
