I was talking more about the franchise not having many fans.

Eh, it's not exactly huge but it has a decent following. The two most popular games in the franchise sold over 2m copies, DoA 3 and DoA 4. And the series overall is the 8th bestselling fighting game franchise, with around 9-10m sales.

1. Tekken
2. Street Fighter
3. Smash Bros
4. Dragon Ball
5. Mortal Kombat
6. Soul Calibur
7. Naruto Ultimate Ninja
8. Dead or Alive
9. Virtua Fighter
10. Guilty Gear
11. BlazBlue

(Note: Total franchise sales for the King of Fighters franchise have never been revealed, so it is unknown exactly where it falls in the order of bestselling fighting franchises)

I see. I haven't played it since DoA3 or earlier... though the following was minimal nowadays.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Seriously, this. This is a loss for gamers, it's letting the gaming public know that the SJWs (read: terrorists) have won and we're gonna see more of this pandering/censorship bleed over into other games, guar-damn-tee it. If DoA, the series most notorious for creating waifu content isn't safe from SJW/PC pandering, then no game is safe.

No sexy outfits, no buy.

Why not just watch porn instead?

It's not about wanting to see pixelated boobs, it's the principle of the matter as with the DOAX3 debacle. By buying this game, you're letting them know that the SJW pandering is acceptable with your purchase and I just won't have that. Just like with any game with shady MTXs/DLC: you're enabling them with your purchase.

Seriously, did KT not learn their lesson from all the backlash their SJW pandering got them with DOAX3? They literally said they're not bringing it to the West because of all the SJW shit-flinging, even in their pathetic damage-controlling attempt in which they basically said the same thing minus the broken English after throwing the CM (who is THE mouthpiece for the company BTW) under the bus. As always, vote with your wallet and your keyboard at the KT Twitter page and this shit will stop.

You'd think that the DoA Xtreme 3 situation would have taught them something. They specifically didn't release the game outside of Japan because they didn't want to risk angering western feminists and SJW's (they literally admitted this). Western DoA fans tried to speak with their wallet by importing the game from Japan to let Tecmo Koei/Team Ninja know they wanted the series to stay as it was. DoA Xtreme 3 actually broke the import record for Play Asia as I recall, and still Tecmo Koei/Team Ninja go and do this with DoA 6, toning back the sex appeal to appease the feminists and SJW's.

IKR? And the ultimate irony is that it won't net them a SINGLE purchase from the people they're trying to bring in with their pandering (since, as we all very much know, SJWs don't even game and are NEVER satisfied, yet here we are), yet it will cost them a big chunk of their core audience from past entries.

Oh, and I voiced my displeasure over at the Koei Tecmo US Twitter as did many others (admittedly, I don't use Twitter much). They need to know that their fanbase won't stand for this.

Why not just watch porn instead?

the problem is suppression of artistic expression

if you care about any art form at all then you would be concerned about this

because it'll start with sexuality and what gives you the impression that it'll stop there? there are an infinite number of ways for people to be offended after all

Guys, calm your tits, please. Big jiggly boobies are not a form of artistic expression, their single purpose is to drive sales because the fighting mechanics can't do it alone and the series started during a time when porn wasn't as easily accessible like nowadays so males used it to stimulate their fantasies. And using pixel tits for this is nothing to be ashamed of, we all did that. We all wanked to Kasumi. It's okay.

Seriously. Tits don't make a game better or worse.  And lowering down the sex appeal is not censorship. To think that the inclusion of half naked boobs was a form of ARTISTIC EXPRESSION only shows the lack of understanding what art even is.

It's not about the boobs, it's about not letting the terrorists (SJWs) win. If DOA, the game most notorious for giving fans waifu content isn't safe from their grimy mitts (read: censorship), then no game is safe.

"Big jiggly boobies are not a form of artistic expression"

because you say so?

"the series started during a time when porn wasn't as easily accessible like nowadays so males used it to stimulate their fantasies."

this is complete and total horseshit

"Seriously. Tits don't make a game better or worse. "

who are you to decide that?

"And lowering down the sex appeal is not censorship."

it is when an artist changes their art to appease a moron that cannot make the logical connection that if you fight to stop the representation of certain types of women with certain types of bodies from appearing in media then you cannot be advocating for women's rights

" To think that the inclusion of half naked boobs was a form of ARTISTIC EXPRESSION only shows the lack of understanding what art even is."

and what is art?

With all the fans already boycotting this game as a result of their SJW pandering? Good luck with that.

Was anyone really excited waiting for thi to be revealed?

I don't think anybody was expecting it this soon. When they announced the end of DoA 5 support last year, they did this poorly thought out farewell video that had half the fanbase thinking that the series was over for good, and the other half thinking that it would be at least a few years before DoA 6. Very few would have expected DoA 6 to be announced within 1 year of that farewell video.

This soon? DOA5 released in 2012... Also, the DOA6 reveal trailer looked like it was running on the PS3. Even MKX, which released 4 years ago - looks better than DOA6, both graphically and mechanically. DOA just isn't relevant anymore... At least not since Itagaki left. There's just no vision in Tecmo anymore. I remember when DOA2 launched first on Dreamcast - there simply wasn't anything else on the market that was like it.

You can't use image stills to judge a games graphics, as they are always edited. I based what I saw from the trailer, not polished images that were edited in a Vector based imaging software.
