Our area usually votes Liberal and it went Conservative this time around by a long shot. I know quite a few people who didn't bother voting since we were all that confident it was going to end up Ford. I have a feeling the number of non voters isn't really that telling in terms of who cares or not this time around. I will admit that this election seemed similar to Hillary vs Trump in terms of a well known quantity vs a shot in the dark. It's a bad sign for the Libs and NDP though when Ford pulls a Trump and wins this big. Says more about the parties and the direction they were taking us than how much the people do or don't care.

There is not near enough competition and way to much of a monopoly in Ontario and Canada and it's slowly crushing everything. In the last 15 years working in Ontario, I've seen the quality and progress of work in general decline rapidly. Not only that, but the jobs that require hard work and sacrifice are everywhere and pay amazing but nobody takes them because it means working hard and dedication, something that is in short supply in Ontario at the moment. Now if only we could have Kevin O'Leary as PM we would be all set. Canada and Ontario would become Trumps best friends and we could all become great again. P.S. I didn't even bother voting. When I saw the media showing polls with the NDP neck and neck with the Conservatives I knew it was B.S. just like Hillary way up on Trump. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump runs again he wins as big as Ford did. |

Yes but Ontario is more important to Canada (around 1/3 of Canada's population) than any state.

Thats not healthy. You can't be so blinded by your hate for one side that you accept another side no matter what. It is so easy to exploit people who have irrational bias.
I see value in the ideas of conservatism and liberalism. I don't understand how people become so militantly polarized. Its a sickness.

Because people from other provinces know that their province isn't the dominant one. Ontario has the capital Ottawa and the largest city Toronto.
