Looks like the Nintendo Direct this E3 will probably be longer than 30 minutes!

So, at the very least, there is a lot of room for more game announcements this year. :D

My guess is that is what Twitch has allocated to the Direct, but might not the actual length

I think that's the best bet. Have Nintendo given any indication of what time Treehouse coverage starts? That would give us an indication. Or are they just saying coverage starts after the Direct?

Well, last year they had most of their 2017 lineup revealed before E3. So I hope it is longer this year. We know only like two titles for next year.

Hoping so... In all honesty, they need to start building hype again. After the Wii U adverts, after it failed, it feels they finally gave up.

Wait... what? You do realize this is the era of the Switch, correct? Nintendo has seemingly put in the most amount of effort to hype anything and everything up than they have for anything else in recent memory.

im going to meet it firmly in the middle and say the direct will be 40 minutes long. that gives us a good 37 minutes of warm-up time followed by 3 minutes of pure Smash Bros hype

I hope its longer and I hope its got some 3rd party announcement and surprises.

Don't get me wrong love my mario themed games but we know sooner or later those will come anyway.

Nintendo implied that we should temper our expectations last year. No surprise that it was that short.

It wasn't even a direct last year. It was a "spotlight"...

Unpopular opinion but last year's E3 wasn't even good actually. If you were a non-Nintendo fan Mario Odyssey would've most likely the only thing that left you interested after that presentation, as that trailer was amazing, and it of course was playable.

This E3 will crush it to bits. You watch. A good Smash reveal and another surprise (with actual gameplay) will be enough.
