Is this the first time a Shantae game charting in Japan (#19 with 3000 copies sold) or did Shantae chart before with a game already?

Sony and third parties are in trouble apparently

They are as far as the Japanese market is concerned. Nintendo is monopolizing software and hardware over there.

Those millions of hardware and software sales I must be imagining. They are doing better then last gen in terms of sales. In terms of profit insanely better in Japan. Nintendo are dominating Japan like they have for a long time now. Nothing new.

Blazeblue Cross Tag Bomba. It does especially horribad on Switch.

On the other hand, Liar Princess does OK partly thanks to the new audience provided by the Switch. Significant increase over Rose. Vita version was still 25% of sales, let's see what happens when NIS heartlessly abandons Vita fans in July.

P5D & P3D drop sure is steep. I hope digital was good...

New record low by leagues for Neptunia (last was 15K last summer). The game clearly wasn't needed on PS4 but the fanbase may be reacting to Compile going on Switch. Here again, Mary Skelter 2 in July will be the real test.

Wow, Blazblue only sold 11k on PS4, and 4k on Switch.
I'm not sure how much it usually sells, but that seems very low.

~Edit~
According to @Megiddo
"Continuum Shift sold 6k first week for the 3DS so that's around a ~30% drop from that.
Central Fiction sold 22k first week on PS4 so that's around a ~50% drop from that.
So yeah, both did poorly."

So anybody still think the PS4 has "shortages"?

No, you're absolutely right. PS4 didn't have shortages.
It's perfectly normal for the Pro version to outsell the baseline model for no particular reason. By twice the amount. In Japan.

There are always these uninformed passive aggressive comments every week. Switch had shortages for nearly a year. But PS4 having them for like two weeks is somehow inconceivable to some.

You were around when some argued that didn't have shortages either right (in regards to switch)? Also I think he used the word "has" not "had".

Yes, I remember that. But people came to accept it when they became convinced by compelling evidence. In PS4's case, we immediately had clear evidence that something wasn't right with the supply of the base PS4 model, the first week it occurred. There was never any room for doubt that it occurred for at least one or two weeks. It wasn't just anecdotal stories about people not being able to find the consoles in stores. It was right there in the sales figures.
Not because of how little PS4 sold in total, but because the Pro model eclipsed the baseline model in sales for no apparent reason.

And the problem isn't whether he used past or current tense. It's that he put shortages in quotation marks.
There's a distinct difference between;

So anybody still think the PS4 has shortages?

vs

So anybody still think the PS4 has "shortages"?

The latter seems to be implying that it never had shortages, which I've seen some people try to argue in the past few weeks.

There are actually still people who don't believe ps4 2018 shortages exist? Are these the same people who believe the earth is flat?

Exist or existed? They had issues for awhile but they have been straightened out for about a month.

Congrats to Breath of the Wild for the milestone! It could become the best-selling Zelda in Japan.
