uh huh...because PS4 certainly had no ports of older in its first two years (you know, except for Heavy Rain, Uncharted collection, God of War 3, GTA V, Tearaway, The Last of US, Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, etc) and Switch has not had any news games at all in its first two years (you know except for ARMS, Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby Star Allies, Octopath Traveller, Pokemon Let's Go, Octopath Traveller, etc).

Honestly, I find it interesting that Switch becomes the "console of ported old game" when a good number of other systems have and continue to receive ports alongside new games, particularly in the early stages of their life. This continued release of older ports on all systems is reinforced by the fact that consumers seem to be responding positively to them. If this game comes to Switch it is also likely to come to PS4 as well (unless Nintendo paid for it). Making ports of older games a part of the library is hardly a Nintendo-exclsuive thing.

You listed Octopath Traveller twice. You're also listing games that haven't even come out yet.

Also Heavy Rain came out in 2016 for the PS4.  That would be more than 2 years.

Soul Sacrifice never came to the PS4.

That is one hell of a weird list.

Whoops just noticed that regarding the Octopath Traveller. I could have swore Soul Sacrifice Delta was announced for PS4, but I see it just came to Vita. Anyways, I made edits to my comment to fix those issues.

The funny thing is, I bought Soul Sacrifice (and later Delta) on Vita a number of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, and I thought that it got ported to PS4 (like Gravity Rush) so I have been waiting all these years for it to come to Playstation Plus for PS4 (like I would check the PS Plus free monthly games specifically for this game). Oh well, hopefully it will come one day.

Probably a switch game as the switch has basically become a console of ported old game.

EDIT: Removed double listing of Octopath Traveller, and apparently Soul Sacrifice Delta never came to PS4 and I removed Heavy Rain was ported in 2016 (outside of the two year window).

Wow Did I hit a nerve with that post?!

Well obviously otherwise I would not have replied :) Its just I don't see how Switch is the only system with old ports, considering this gen overall (especially at the beginning of the gen; but also, generally at the initial phases of a lot of gens) has been quite port heavy. Also judging by the sales of the Tales series on Playstation, I don't see why Bandai Namco would limit a hypothetical port to just the Switch (again unless Nintendo paid them off).

Yes, please! I only got through about half the game before my 360 died, I'd love to play through the entire thing on Switch, hopefully it's on Switch anyways.

To be fair, back in the day the PS4 was absolutely declared Portstation. It blew my mind, how games that were just a year or two before released like GTAV, Tomb Raider, TLOU and so on were declared as reasons to get a PS4. A friend of mine literally told me, he rebought a game (I forgot which one) with his new PS4, so that he had to play something at the first time.

But as it happened again with Switch I was prepared. And in the meantime I had understood, that such ports can hold great value for buyers and for the library.

Can only hope to play the real version of this game after all this time. I don't replay games, but I would do it for Vesperia.

Hoping this is true. I don't have access to a 360 anymore. I'd like to play it on PS4 or Switch.

Man is this game one big X360 murderer. Mine died as well while I was working on a Judith combo video, but luckily that happened after multiple playthroughs :)

Might still double dip if this gets the countless extra contents and fearures of the PS3 version.

I get the feeling that the reason for the faulty hardware may be a tad displaced. ;)

Hoping it's a multiplat remaster, and not held exclusive to just one system.

If this is true I can finally play it and see what all the fuss is about...

It’s certainly a good game... but don’t go in with too high of expectations, it’s still a tales game...
