When people say that E 3 is comming, they dont only reference the exposition itself, but rather the whole fanfare around it.It references the celebration of gaming, that starts with the companies conferences and ends with the last day of the exposition itself.

You may not like this definition, but much like a language, which is defined by which words of the speakers of said language invent and accept as word and as something correct, E3 and the whole event around it is defined the by the gaming community as a whole, wether you agree with it or not.As I said, it is what it is.

4 days remeaining until E3 guys!

Lol, what? It doesn't matter if what you say is factually true as long as everyone around you believes it's true it is?

*sigh* No.

What we are discussing here are not scientific facts, that if proven scientifically, its true regardless of opinion. We are discussing when "festivities" about E3 begin and when the general concenssus of when the E3 begins, but not when the exposition by itself begins.About wether E3 is defined by only the exposition that is held during three days, or wether E3 is defined by all the fanfare that the companies make around it(conferences, game reveals and so on).

And Im arguing for in favor of the latter.Much like language which is defined by the own people that speak it(They create new words and slurs, which is latter incorporated to dictionaries and be deemed as official), festivities and events are also define by the people that attend it and watch it, much like cultural festivities.

Anyways, I know that you wont agree with me, and that your opinion is already formed about this, and anything I say wont persuade you. However, if you wish to see how much in the minority you are, just go to other forums like Resetera, IGN, Neogaf and so on, and ask/see there how many think E3 starts at Tuesday versus the ones that know it starts with the first conference.

Now, if you wish to continue this conversation, PM me.Otherwise, stop derailing the thread.

A food for thought: Square recently said that given the Switch sucess, it would be more open to develop AA games for it.Hopefully with this they give Chrono Trigger a second chance as a AA franchise, even if it deserves the biggest budget it could get, and lives on at least as a Switch exclusive, possibly with the first game being a remake using Octopath engine/style.I mean, I would prefer if they went all in with Chrono Trigger and gave it an artstyle similar to Dragon Quest, but I would love this too.

Yeah, that would be pretty dope.  I could MAYBE see them doing something like that, and if it were to be successful enough, eventually get the Dragon Quest treatment.

It still blows my mind though how they have not done anything with it yet.  Even with all the controversy surrounding Chrono Cross, it was still a commercial and critical success.

And seeing how it introduced multiverse theory into the canon, it would have been easy to bring back Crono and the gang in some form or another.  There is literally endless potential for the franchise.

While I remain pessimistic overall on the topic of a new Chrono game, it will always be number one on my wishlist.  With that in mind, the scenario you painted would not be bad at all.

If they bring back Chrono Trigger, I do hope that they forget Cross existed.God, that game was such a dissapointment to me.But if they do keep it, and use the different dimensions as an excuse to keep all games canon, make them be standalone, please. One of the things that made Cross story extremely convoluted was because it tried to link to the first game and it just failed misarebly, in my opinion.

I much rather they just make Chrono Break as if Cross never existed, and for it to be a direct sequel to Trigger, or at the very least acknowledges the events of the first game but has zero or minimal ties to that game and its not required to understand the plot.

But I think that, if that happens, will only be at the very least announced next year, probably because that will be relegated to the Octopath team, and they are still rather busy with the current game.

One more prediction, any WiiU to Switch will not be announced the Direct but on Treehouse Live

Probably gonna be most of the games we barely saw last year. I was also hoping for some Darksiders 3 gameplay and trailers but that's not happening.

Anyway here's my list:

Marvel Comics Square Enix game
Rocksteady DC Comics game
FF7 remake new trailer
God of War expansion
Witchfire gameplay

I can prove by the official webpage when E3 starts, and have posted the website linking to the actual webpage. It is not up for debate, it is posted by the people holding the event of when it  starts. If not, what stops E3 from starting when the Sony Countdown event starts tomorrow? It's like saying the Superbowl pregame show is when the Superbowl starts. It's not. It's also mighty presumptuous that I'm in the minority regardless of a few people on a few gaming website forums might think, even if everyone on those sights supposedly agree, that is still less than .000000000001% of the gaming community. There is a posted time for when E3 starts, it really isn't up for debate.

Other than that, I'm done, no need to PM.

*edit* 1 last thing, made up words HAVE to be added to the dictionary before they become actual words, just like E3 events that aren't part of E3 would HAVE to be added to the schedule to be a part of the official E3.

Even better!

You need to feel as sick as superman feels in order to get the true experience.

Exactly! They're going for the 100% full immersive experience!

... But seriously though, they ARE rumoured to be announcing a Superman game at E3, lol :P

Rocksteady is the developer right?Hopefully its good.Personally Im not too big of a fan of Superman, and Batman worked extremely well because of the chrachter and his powers.Being a "powerless" hero makes it much easier to set up challenges and dangers.Plus all his abilities which are relegated to gadgets. But being Supermen, you are already kinda.... invencible.

Gonna be interesting to see how they set him up.Assuming this is true, of course.
