Forums - Sales Discussion - Comparison of sales of multiplat releases (PS4 vs. Xbox One vs. Switch)

Well it's not looking good for South Park on Switch, FW - 25k, Compared to PS4/XBO which had 373k and 160k respectively.

Nintendo Fans aren't South Park fans it seems.

LA Noire sold 30% on Switch? I was not expecting that at all.

but its important to remember that the Nintendo Switch still has a very small install base. There are 5x as many PS4's currently as there are Nintendo Switches, so with that in mind, the Switch is performing pretty incredibly.

There are PS4 owners who bought RBI Baseball 17 & 18 on the same console that has The Show? WHY???

Impressive research. Love the graphs.

Well presented information, OP.

Regarding Switch SW market share, it's quite impressive. The worst performers almost always seem to be the yearly sports sim titles, so that's pleasant. This comparison also really shows how dominant PS4 has been this generation as the console to buy for multi-plats compared to the XBO.

That game was a broken piece of shit at its Switch launch and got a lot of bad rep so its legs will also be very weak.

I bought mine at launch and wasn't aware of any issues.  I've got over 20 hours on it, and I've never had any problems.  After googling just now, I'm glad that I never encountered the Save file resets, freezes, or infinite load screens that they had to release a patch for.  I figured the discrepancy in sales would have been attributed to the Xbox One and PS4 versions releasing 6 months earlier.  At that time, it was announced that there was no plans for a Switch version, so most Switch owners who had another console would have bought the game on another platform already if they wanted it.

Nah I intend to buy it but no for 60. I'm waiting for it to be 30 or less

This is a great thread!

Very informative thread. For better or worse, poorly reviewed games seem to do a lot better on Switch.

Consider adding Atelier Lydie & Suelle. Then again, I think you're better off removing weak sellers (Nights of Azure 2, RBI Baseball, etc) than adding more of them.

Perhaps Switch owners does not put too much weight on reviews? Or the lack of AAA games allows these small games to sell a lot.
