One thing to note: Rocket League on Switch released digitally months before the physical release. Did it release physically/digitally at different times on the other consoles?

Don't know when the physical release was, but it should also be noted it was given away as  PS+ game on PS4 launch day, so that was a whole load of people getting it digitally for no extra cost.

Wow, that shows even more how much PS4-users dig Sports games if still that much of the sales happened on PS4.

Your chart is missing Sonic Forces and LA Noire as games that released on all 3 systems.

Thanks for your hint, yes I forgot these. Quick look: Sonic Forces sold best on Switch (first game in this list which is a platformer) and L.A. Noire best on PS4 followed by Switch. I'll include them.

OK, I updated the table to include Sonic Forces and L.A. Noire. I also added GTA V, COD:WWII and Far Cry 5 to have some examples for successful games, although only on two of the platforms.

Ok, I've missed two more games: Sonic Mania and Payday 2. Both are now added.

I don't know actually. But as I said in the OP, for pretty much every game there are special considerations. If it released from the beginning physically on the other consoles, it might be an explanation for the horrible number for Switch. But you shouldn't be too hopeful: all Sports game are bad on Switch, they all have less than 10% sales on Switch. The only other title going so bad is Doom, and this was a late port. FIFA, NBA, WWE all released at the same time at Switch and still do that badly. Seems the Sport-gamers aren't (yet?) in the Switch-userbase.

I only ask because the game has been in the Best Sellers list for Switch since it launched, and with the gap the majority of people probably bought it digitally compared to what the difference would be if physical and digital launched together.

You're right, Rocket League is regularly in the eShop-charts. So it seems it probably has a high digital ratio.

PS4 wins a lot! Except for dancing games

Oh, and @ that first graph... PS4 in green and Xbox in blue? eww!

^ exactly my thoughts.

Guess people didnt buy the PS4 to play Just Dance.
Also noticed that green PS4 & blue Xbox graph and went "wait a minuet" :P

By the way, did Sega announce the sales ratio of Sonic Mania? it hasn't released in retail yet, as far as I know.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Well it have in germany at least released in retail: https://www.amazon.de/Sonic-Mania-Plus-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B07C5HJ2X5/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1528187740&sr=8-2&keywords=sonic+mania

And the VGC has data apparently, which is the base of the sales ratio I calculated: http://www.vgchartz.com/game/133963/sonic-mania/?region=All

I like the charts in the OP.

The ones that always stand out to me when I'm doing the sales are ones where the XO version leads, because it's so unusual (for obvious reasons). Just Dance 2017 is in the OP. Others include:

Rock Band 4 (but not Guitar Hero Live)
Garden Warfare 2
Dead Rising 4
Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two
Fortnite's physical release
NHL 17 (but not 18)
R.B.I. Baseball 2016 (but not 17)
NASCAR Heat 2

It does not include (and these are interesting too):

Minecraft (mildly surprising given it had a holiday bundle)
Titanfall 2 (despite the first being exclusive. Although that clearly did ensure the gap was much smaller than usual for the sequel)
Rise of the Tomb Raider (despite the head-start. But the gap is much smaller than usual)

Regarding Sonic Mania - the sales in our database are for the special edition, which was available in limited quantities when the game launched digitally. A large scale physical release is due next month I think.

Ah, thanks for the insight. For Minecraft I saw, that the 360-version sold the most, but the XB1-version lags behind PS4.

Ah, and thanks for the clarification on Sonic Mania. Will the numbers for the coming release lumped together with the current numbers or do they get separate entries in the Game DB/sales charts?

After some digging I found a lot more games which are released on all platforms and included them. Also I choose some more examples for games that miss some platforms. If you still miss games, please point me to them.

Also I replaced the table with a graph, which in my opinion shows the intended information better.
