Matter of Taste, but that was a con for me. Looked boring and generic as it can get to me.

There's not exactly alot of samurai action rpgs around so that doesn't make much sense.

There are quite a few Hack n Slash games though.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Just because a sword is being swung doesn't make it a hack & slash.

One thing that would have gave this a lot more life would be having the freaking developers on the stage. I know people had issues with devs, because they don't have the best stage skills, but at least they gave some life to the conference. The big 4 games would have been much better if we had the devs sharing their excitement, and a more in depth look at what we are seeing.

I miss the old school E3's before it just became a glorified trailer reel. I miss the non gaming stuff that showed the diversity of the platforms. I miss sales figures, and slides projecting the future of the platform. Ever since the backlash against Microsoft with the Xbox One, E3 has become a lifeless and boring. MS brought a little bit of excitement back this year, but Sony took it to a whole new low.

I hope we can get back to E3 being a celebration of the platform again. This used to be my favorite time of the year, but like I said, since the MS backlash, these conferences have become lifeless, and mostly pointless. If this is the way things continue, I have better things to do, and I'll just watch the trailers I am interested in once the show is over.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

The flow was not good, the instrument portions were to long, the games looked meh, to so so, to great, to wow. The best presentations seem to be the one's that just show you non stop game footage. If PS was thinking of trying new approaches, this is the time to do it since they are on such a high and almost seem untouchable.

PS doesn't seem arrogant this time around, at least nowhere near their PS2 to PS3 transition level, but they most certainly are either getting lazy because they can, or are so focused on next gen already that they are letting this gen ride itself out since it seems at this point they can almost do no wrong. Based on what MS revealed for the future of XB, they clearly are righting some wrongs, rebuilding their core, and trying to widen their audience. If the XB conference didn't say 'heads up PS we're coming back next gen with no gimmicks and all guns pointed at games' then I don't know what does. PS will not be able to just ride the wave into PS5 and completely run away as the hardware sales leader like they did with PS4, unless they get a worthwhile jump on the next XB hardware.

With Phil mentioning future XB consoles, while it could just mean base and mid gen upgrade, it could also mean base and upgrade at launch, or even handheld and console(s) at launch. The play anywhere initiative could gain much attention and sales if XB has multiple form factors for next gen, especially a handheld/Switch type mobile device. PS should more than likely stay around their $399 main price point, but how many devices do they want to have on the market at once? If PSVR sales don't pick up then they could also do another handheld/Switch and/or a launch upgrade as well.

Microsoft did the same thing. However, MS conference was better...but Sony's games were better than MS's.

I'll take MS' first party showing over Sony's first party showing.

That's a preference issue tho. It doesn't mean it was actually better tho-and VICE VERSA. I won't nitpick MS's games tho. I will say this though....what was expected that we would see from Sony was exactly what was expected from MS. Specifically talking about the new Gears, Halo, Forza, etc. Not that it was a bad thing. I totally liked MS's conference way more than Sony. I just felt like the exclusives department still went to Sony because some of the games were fresh ones.

I'm thinking Sony probably just left a bunch out still this year for E3. They still have Gamescom, TGS, PGW, and PSX. Gamescom has to give attention to Red Dead Redemption 2. Maybe a limited edition bundle too. There are a list of things that some of us all want to see they have haven't showed all their cards yet.
