Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Man, Argentina and Messi still keep crumbling under the smallest bit of pressure, as soon as they find themselves on the receiving end of a punch it's game over for them. Please Iceland, win tomorrow, get a tie with Croatia on your last match and free them from this misery.

Brazil 3-0 Costa Rica
NIgeria 0-1 Iceland
Serbia 1-1 Switzerland

Deserved for both France and Croatia today

Great goal by Modric

Good day

About the match, Argentina's 3 man defense was awful, they simply can't improvise it like that. Aside from the shit that Caballero did, the defense always seemed very fragile and you could notice it with crossed long balls and so many Croatian players passing easily on the flanks.

There a few reasons why international competitions aren't as high standard as club competitions.
Let's compare the World Cup to the national leagues and the Champions League/Europa League. The World Cup doesn't have home and away games, it's 3 (or 2 starting in 2026) and your tournament could be up. Also it only happens once every four years unlike the national leagues which happen every year. These are probably why teams are much more cautious. Then there is also the fact that club teams play together all year while national team players are kind of thrown together.

I kinda don't want to put a Brazil win now. All the good teams are losing or if they do it's 1 nil. :P

Nigeria 0 - 2 Iceland
Brazil 1 - 0 Costa Rica
Serbia 2 -1 Switzerland

Hmm, pie.

Club football = Capitalist business model, elite teams with most money buy the best players to win trophies.
International football = Playing for country of birth, national teams can not buy players up from other nations.

So you´d rather see a team with only star players win then an underdog?

If they’re better, absolutely yes. They’re not “stars” by luck. I don’t feel any compassion for “underdog” teams unless they play well. For example, Morocco outclassed Portugal in every possible way, so I rooted for them because they were the best and deserving team.

Take an Iceland for example. Not all of the players are actually profesional footballers. They go full for teamwork and defensive football. You´d rather have them out then them come far?
Im not judging btw I totally get it. Im pretty annoyed Argentina is already going out of the World cup and they are in the group with Iceland.

Honestly, I don't think Messi really wants to play for this Argentina side. He's there so moreso because other people want him there than because he wants to himself, if anything he just looks frustrated at how shitty everything around him is. His attitude today was glaring, really.

I know he's denied it publically, but I wonder if privately he regrets choosing to play for Argentina when he could have played for Spain instead.

He doesnt as far as I know about the situation he´s just sick of the AFA.

The AFA has been fucking up royally and really held back the national team. They only qualified because of Messi, the coach is a goddamn idiot that doesnt know how to play with Argentina (Who the hell plays 3 defenders with a team that can´t defend?) and the players having to pay for stuff the AFA is supposed to pay for. I´d be pretty sick of it too.
