Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Hate this superleague thing, it's just one of those shitty friendly cups played in pre season with steroids. Hope they get kicked out of everything

Besides, what are Tottenham or Arsenal even doing there? I can say that about a lot of clubs on the "super" league that would be bashed by Sevilla

What exactly is stopping the federations and UEFA from banning these teams from their domestic leagues and UEFA competitions? Officials are whining a lot but not doing much, and there's only been talks to suspend SL teams to play at UEFA level. What's also official is that players who dare to play won't be able to represent their countries either.

Who knows what might convince the SL teams' executives that this backlash is not worth it, though.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

You never walk alone... you go together with 11 others.

Tottenham looks like a sparrow among eagles in this league. City and Chelsea are pigeons if you want.

Seems like all 12 clubs officially left the European Clubs Association too, which... uhh, I don't know how serious that is, but it sounds bad? They all seem totally committed to this despite the overwhelming backlash from fans, pundits, and even their own managers and players. Seems increasingly likely that we'll really have a Super League happening between these teams next season (wonder if any other teams would actually join this clusterfuck), with the usual European tournaments proceeding as normal but without those clubs involved.

But hey, I don't care. I've been a Wolves fan all my life

They obviously expected such a strong backlash, it's the first phase before the negotiations between the 12 clubs and UEFA. I don't buy for a second this is going to go through. Perhaps something like the Super League is going to supplant the Champions League as the main UEFA club competition, and by that I mean this new tournament would make extremely easy for the founders to qualify, it wouldn't be like the Champions League where your position in the table in a single season is all that matters.

If it happens, well, I'll be damned.

I have been thinking about this and came to the conclusion that i dont mind this SL aslong as theybpresent it as what it is because it isnt a league but more a group of friendlies

Probably also money and exposure. Excluding the biggest teams in Europe from their respective domestic leagues would have dire consequences for the viewership, income, stability, and viability of the leagues themselves. Things like "El Classico" and the English and German counterparts are huge draws and the biggest profiles play for the biggest teams. These teams have a bit more leverage than many realize, I think, but the whole thing is an asshole move but them which I cannot condone or agree with. Shameful is what it is.

Talk about bad press. Man City already pulling out, Chelsea too. Woodward has resigned.

Hmm, pie.
