So Fifa 2019 has officially been confirmed for Switch. Imo this is great news for those that are fans of the series.

There's no word on what would be included in this year's version of the game but there is again no Frostbite Engine support although this version of Fifa will sport updated and better graphics than last year's version.

Thats expected, but I cant belive that some people here on site thought we want get Fifa 19 for Switch.

To be honest after EA dropped support so quickly after the Wii U debacle a lot of people are just surprised to see another game.

Clearly they must be happy with the sales of the 2018 Switch version.

Good, I guess. I'd say I want other games from EA, but they've thinned their new releases so much that the only games of theirs I'm interested in are older ports.

That's actually point, they had reason to drop Wii U support so quickly (Wii U start having terible sales only few months after launch), while they dont have any reason to drop Switch support same like they didnt had for Wii that recived around 10 Fifa games.

Sales are probably good enugh, but they also know that Switch already has install base of around 20m and that at end of year it will be at 30m+.

FIFA on Switch flopped though. EA must hate money.

Fifa 18 probably surpassed 1 million copies even with the backlash it had. If they make a good one this time it might do even better.

Not very surprising. The Switch version is probably miles behind the versions for Xbone and PS4 but it did at least show some spirit and there should be room for growth.

Probably. It's well above 800k in retail, plus a lot of digital discounts. I really want them to confirm the numbers here.
