I'd love them to announce a new Gears & Halo title, I'm a huge fan of those. If some rumors are true, Gears won't be a traditional 3rd person cover shooter anyway. Different genre with Gears universe is basically a new IP imo. Kind a like Halo Wars. Gears of War is THE series for me.

Sunset Overdrive was a great game but I'm not sure if a sequel is needed. Wouldn't mind it though.

Of course I want to try new IPs too. It just doesn't matter that much whether they're exclusive or multiplat.

It's about time.

We haven't had a main Halo game now for almost 3 Years. That feels like an eternity when you consider how quickly they pumped out 3, ODST, Reach and 4.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't go for a yearly strategy of Halo/Forza one year and Gears/Horizon another, throwing in the odd few games between if one needs a longer dev schedule.

Maybe they finally understood that the quality has been going down since Bungie left so they´re trying to blow people away with Halo 6.

I have very high expectations for Halo 6.  I think they know that they have to knock it out of the park next time.  XB lost a lot of market share this generation.  If it weren't for Halo loyalists, they'd have lost even more. If they go without a mega-hit Halo for a whole generation, it will be even harder to keep people in the XB universe for the next gen.

Forza games have been great forever.  I expect that to continue.

Gears..... eh, I dunno.  I don't feel like the series is all that important anymore.  I certainly don't care about it, personally.

I mean Gears is the sole reason I bought a Xbox one. I enjoy Halo alot and I´ve never played a Forza game it was Fable, Gears and Dead rising that made me get one.

I'm fully expecting a new Halo where the Masterchief has a son/daughter/sidekick he develops a meaningful relationship with, over the course of a short campaign, while the multiplayer part features a battle royal mode.

...also Zombies.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I just need more Gears in my veins

The 3 being revealed isn't a surprise...
And SO2 isn't likely since MS had only SO1 as exclusive and as pointed Insomniac is doing Spiderman.

If MS is happy with their playerbase, then why not. Sure i couldnt care less for those 3 games.

If those continue to be the best games MS can offer, I’ll continue to regret my XBO purchase. I’m a couple hours into Sunset Overdrive right now, and I’m definitely not loving it. If the game doesn’t improve, Cuphead will remain the only good exclusive on the XBO (imo). I thought I would like Ori and Gears 4, but unfortunately that was not the case.

Sorry yo hear that! I started following a strategy of waiting for 3 "must have" games on a console that has improved my decision making, maybe that ould help you out in future.

@ot: isn't an annual Forza a given?  Halo and Fears eouldn't shock me either, so yeah, they need something elsr.

About quality discussion.
Quality is measured on objective terms of the product meeting the design criteria and repeat on production. Quality isn't subjective. What may be said is that the scope or design of those games are bad or don't meet market need, but that isn't the concern on quality. It's like effectiveness and efficiency, efficiency is about doing the thing right while effectiveness about doing the right thing.
All 3 staples of MS deliver on what they intend, without breaking bugs, with high level production, etc. One may not like any of the games, but from a quality stand point they deliver.
