Hype for this too. Gonna be Generation 8.

2018 holiday: Smash/Pokemon Lets Go

2019 holiday: Metroid/Pokemon Gen 8

the hype train keeps rolling for me

It interesting to see when Animal Crossing will be out, maybe March-April-May period. If you mentioned Metroid for holiday 2019. than you need to mention Fire Emblem also for this holiday, also we will probably have another announcement for this holiday season, maybe onother Wii U port.

As of right now Fire Emblem is still scheduled for this year.

We also might have SMT V next year along with Metroid and Pokemon Gen 8. Animal Crossing would be welcomed too if that's even being worked on atm

Now that that is taken care of, what is going to be the big NEW AAA Nintendo game this year? Genuine question.

Pokemon Let’s go Pika and Eevee ARE mainline Pkm games, they said that clearly and often during their presentation.

Metriod Prime 4 or Bayo 3. And don't forget about Fire Emblem.

Remember Nintendo Norway twitter post?

"The year 2017 has definitely been Nintendo's year and we are looking forward to 2018, which will include new games like Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and Kirby: Star Allies as well as many other games that we will reveal during the year."

Smash and Fire emblem. Even if you don't consider Pokemon AAA, it will sell like one

If they have Yoshi and Fire Emblem in addition to Smash and Pokemon why would they need anything else?

I wonder if this will be enough to make people stop declaring the Switch to have no future?

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

We've still got Bayonetta 3 and the under-the-radar Pikmin 4 to release, still. Bayonetta 3 is likely not this year, but Pikmin 4 is an interesting case.

And that rumored Star Fox Racing game (for what it's worth).

The first-party lineup is looking very strong, we'll probably see some more new IPs down the line since it looks like every Nintendo franchise will get some sort of iteration on Switch besides F-Zero before 2020 (Mario Maker definitely will be out this year or the next). At that time we could probably expect some teasers for the new Zelda or maybe another 3D Mario game.

The only concerns I have for the Switch now regard the services on the device itself with the UI options and the online functionality, along with third-party support. Nintendo seems to have first-party under control, provided that this E3 has everything we expect, of course, even without including surprise announcements and 2019 games.

This doesn't mean anything.

It can be the same style of game as Let's go, a handheld game on a console. I don't think we're ever going to get a proper Pokemon RPG.

I just hope the new core game gets away from all the simple child friendly level designs and stories from Sunmoon. I want heavy concepts, with tricky levels to navigate, and characters that are all unique sounding and looking. In SM you just go against the same team members like the whole time and it's so boring!
