ABC should have done some research and she never would have gotten re hired in the first place but like I said before hindsight is 20/20

Link?

There you go I posted that earlier:

While I know Roseanne legitimately thought that thanks to the content of her tweets, posting a link to the single least reputable leftist organization (it even rhymes with Fox, ffs) isn't going to sway anyone to your side.

I like how Sara Gilbert jumped in and felt the need to add "and so much more", just because they disagreed on a lot politically. Yeah, what Roseanne said was pretty damn racist (and not even accurate; I've seen some apey looking people, race aside, and Jarrett is not one of them), but apparently everything Gilbert disagreed with her on is now retroactively abhorrent as well?

Also, Wanda Sykes was involved in that show? It's hard to believe such a prolific race-baiter could get along with a conservative of Roseanne's "caliber".

Honestly, anyone who worked on that show and quit because of this was already complicit.

Roseanne has done and said MUCH worse, so it's not like they can say, "we had nooooooo idea!"

I honestly think she didn't think the woman was black. Obviously, she wouldn't have said that if she had known beforehand although it shouldn't have been said to begin with.

1. Then what purpose would the "Planet of the Apes" reference have made if she didn't know she was black?  And why randomly attack someone you don't even know of?

2. She's made dozens of racist and highly questionable tweets before.  Why suggest she would have stated differently?

You should probably look up the planet of the apes movie. It's a bunch of white people who are dressed up as highly evolved primates who more closely represent humans than their ancestors. You definitely can't tell that the person is African American by looks. She's mostly white ancestry.

Do some basic research and you will find out she has a long history of racists tweets.  Plus on top of all that its a well known fact that she has a long history of mental problems.

Ugh, now there are rumors that ABC are planning a spinoff focused on Darlene and her kids, with some of the original main cast members (minus Roseanne) guest starring. Will definitely be boycotting that on principle, revive the show properly or not at all. It's pretty clear to me now that this is what ABC has been angling toward all along, they don't want any conservative friendly programs at all, so they were just waiting for Roseanne to say something bad enough to get rid of her, and considering how outspoken she has always been that was just a matter of time. Now they can have an ultra liberal spinoff focused on one Roseanne's most liberal characters, Darlene.

I highly doubt ABC wanted the lead actress on their hit show to ruin it, and they probably are looking for any avenue to recapture the audience and advertising.

It took them a bit too long to take action on it.

I think they might have been fine with all those offensive tweets till they feared it would influence their income.

She is the star of the show and it bears her name.  She represent the show and thus her position that she made public would be considered representative of the network airing her show.  Pretty much no other way for them to handle this from what I have read since they tried to take her phone away and limit her from posting.  She is her own person and thus what has happen falls right on her head.

This would then make Roseann statement even more clear and pointed if I were to go by your statement.  White person dressed up as a monkey, I am not sure if your statement makes it sound any better for Roseann but instead seems to make it more pointed that she did know of the ancestry of the person she was trashing.
