For the most part, this seems good. However...

Are posts taller than before? It looks like there's more empty space, and I'm not a huge fan of this much whitespace.

Page buttons at the top and bottom really stick out. They're quite different from the rest of the buttons on the forums, and I'm guessing the black border around the active page button is the biggest offender. Also, the 'Page 2 of 2' text seems just a tad too close to the 'Prev' button?

Finally, having so much grey of this shade on the sides is, um, not great. It's not terrible, but it makes the site look kind of bland. If you want to to be grey, I think it needs to be either way brighter or way darker - and if you decide to make it brighter, it probably needs to be really light grey, close to white even.

That said, the new forums do seems pretty good, and these are some fairly minor complaints. Good job!

EDIT: There also seems to be some kind of an issue with the less than symbol, but I already fixed it in this post and I can't reproduce it in the edit.

I'd say the issue with whitespace is design and not ads, and it's because of how much vertical space user-related stuff takes. Another potential factor is that posts seem wider than before (although I'm not 100% sure about that, just like I'm not about the whitespace either), which makes post content take less vertical space than before.

The issue with the buttons is... eh, it's not that page buttons are different, it's that there are other thread buttons, like Reply and Quote, that are quite different. I'm not sure making all of the buttons identical would be great either, but at the moment, there's no consistent style with the buttons.

EDIT: And now that I look at it, it also seems like text paragraphs have quite a bit of space between them. Personally I'd like to see that space reduced a bit. Perhaps reducing the space to something like two thirds (or perhaps even less) of the current amount would be good?

I guess that the green supporter button blocks access to all selections at the top. All forum selections in the grey bar are unresponsive for me.

Which means that I theoretically can only access Latest Topics via home page, but selecting then tipping/clicking on Latest Topics on the home page now automatically redirects to hot topics, hence no access for me to Latest Topics anymore atm.

I can start the buddy and widen or close it, but I can‘t move it to the left on iPhone or iPad. How do you guys move the buddy around on your mobile devices?

Looks good!, although it means I have to increase the size of one of the images on a thread I'm only after finishing working on you monster. But in all serious the wider format actually improves the look of the thread a lot. Thanks for your efforts.

Just in time, I'm about to leave for a week and can't take my laptop with me. Before, the website was trash on my mobile (if I could even access it with all those adbots opening up as soon as I entered the forums), but now it's working like a charm. Well done *Thumbs up*

So to be sure I understand, the side forum buddy is gone and the rollover up top will be its new location? Or am I suppose to still have a side forum buddy?
