Assuming it's the same format as the SNES Classic (20 games preloaded with no online functionality):

1. Final Fantasy VII
2. Final Fantasy VIII
3. Final Fantasy IX
4. Final Fantasy Tactics
5. Soul Reaver
6. Legend of Dragoon
7. Legend of Mana
8. Legend of Legaia
9. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
10. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
11. Gran Turismo 2
12. Crash Bandicoot
13. Spyro the Dragon
14. Medievil
15. Tekken 3
16. Tomb Raider
17. Silent Hill 2
18. Chrono Cross
19. Xenogears
20. Street Fighter Alpha 3

Silent Hill 2 is PS2 game.

plus not having MGS on the list is a big WTF.

I would same thing for at least one Resident Evil game.

yup resident evil 2 is a must, and 3 cause most people didn't even play that.

Oh Sony... don't overestimate yourselves.

Your consoles are good, but your first party offerings don't compare to Nintendo and SEGA in their prime.

So, unless you are willing to negotiate with alot of third parties, i'd forget the idea.

I'll need Twisted Metal 2, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy IX and I'm sold. That's my childhood right here.

You mean Sega.

Sega has been getting collection consoles since ever.

Yeah, but nobody cares about Sega. It's like Sony's and Nokia's smartphones. Technically those existed before the iPhone. But no one gives a crap, Apple invented the smartphone, period. ;P

While we're at it, let's call out Apple as the copycat that they are. Give credit where it's due.

To be fair, most people (at least outside the US) don't even think Apple invented the smartphone, they just popularized the touch screen.

According to a documentary I saw about the rise and fall of Nokia, even the touch screen was ripped off of a Finnish inventor who pitched it to all the major phone manufacturers, but none of them were interested. The inventor said that Steve Jobs came in during his pitch at Apple and fiddled with his prototype for a while, asking some questions about it. Nothing came from that pitch either, but fast forward a little bit and boom, there was the first iPhone with a touch screen.

Needless to say, the execs at Nokia have been kicking themselves ever since..

Don't they have some PlayStation-TVs laying around to relabel?

Do a Two-in-One system (mini/classic) that looks like a PS2, but also plays PS1 games = in day 1.

BOOOOOM!  *mindblown*

They just need to repackage it, to look like or PS1 mini.  :)

I'd like to see this for PS2 games.
