Can only hope. Star wars has been ruined in this Kathleen woman's hands. Now it needs to be rebooted or it will keep going downhill.

I didn't think i'd see the day Star Trek would be in better hands than Star wars. Sucessful and enjoyable new movies and series. Star wars is garbage now.

It's too bad StarTrek doesn't make more money. The 3 rebooted movies have been far more enjoyable than SWs offerings.

well, disney is trash, star wars has become trash. go figure. i hope disney looses money on this.

The whole franchise feels old withered anyway. Kinda like with World War 2 movies. You know exactly what's going to happen. What is the point.

Spoiler: Han Solo gets killed by his own Son. The End.

1. It's cannon that Deadpool is pansexual and is used humorously

2. It's cannon that Lando is straight and into humans.

Changing cannon for no reason other than the sake of SJWs is just pathetic.

Is it Canon that Lando is straight and only in to humans? Where was that established?

Even if it is, it just evolved with the times to be more representative.

The original trilogy. He was established as a ladies man. Being obtuse of that fact is disingenuous to his character

You're kidding me right. Star Trek is in worse shape for sure. Yeah, the TLJ sucks, but the other 3 Disney Star Wars movies are all better than the rebooted Star Trek movies, and Star Wars Rebels was much better than Star Trek Discovery. JJ took a series that was known for focusing on deep storylines, moral dilemmas, and character development and turned it into a vapid series of summer action flicks. And Discovery is even worse, in addition to the fact that it continues the movies' trends of focusing on action over story, they completely ruined the visual design. It's sad that The Orville, a low budget series that was designed to both spoof and honor TNG era Star Trek, is better than Star Trek Discovery and the new movies.

I disagree with that. Loved both the movies and Discovery.

What you are talking about is the format of the old shows, wich doesn't resonate with a big enough audience anymore. The new takes are modern and more action based while keeping the setting and sci-fi. I am totally ok with that. The old format doesn't work anymore and was done simply due to the lack of resources (technology and money) to make it more cinematic. That isn't the case anymore. I think you got a case of the Nostalgia.

I don't accept a thismeintiel-thread without the prediction that MS will leave the console business. Sorry!
Better luck next time.

In a sense MS has already left the console business.  Does it count if they put consoles on the shelves, but don't make any exclusive games to sell said consoles?

I'll be honest in saying I'm a casual fan of Star Wars. I've seen bits and pieces of the original trilogy to where I have a general understanding of the core characters, but haven't seen them in their entirety to understand the lore and world in general. I've seen most of the prequels, compared to the original parts I've seen they're far inferior but nothing god awful.

I used to like Force Awakens, and I still like Rouge One and the way it implemented original characters with the story. Chirrut and Baze weren't good characters just because they were Asian, they were good because they were badasses and weren't grading and pointless compared to characters such as Rose. That being said, TLJ shat on that trilogy in its entirety. It's the same with The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. The first one wasn't inherently bad, but the way the second film shat on the world the 1st built up was insulting, and as such I can only watch the original Spider-Man trilogy and Homecoming from now on.

TLJ took anything I found interesting and wanted expanded upon and told me to go fuck myself. I'm fine with political commentary, even if I don't agree with it, as long as it's subtle. The original trilogy had political messaging in it, but it wasn't blatant like in TLJ. The casino scene nearly made me walk out of the theater all together. These people will make more money on this one movie alone than I probably will my entire life, and yet they're lecturing me about how rich people are evil?! The hypocrisy of that statement alone turned me off from the rest of the movie alone.

This one example shows just how out of touch Disney is with what Star Wars is and what makes it good and cherished by many. Disney sees a cash cow that they can rake money in after every release, whereas fans see these movies as life lessons and things they grew from. I'm not saying all rabid SW fans are rationale because every base has their crazies, but once Disney makes too many of these films that are action based instead of world building and life changing, the younger audience will never give a damn and the lifelong fans will lose interest. Disney is literally turning a phenomenon into a torture victim, and I can see Star Wars becoming unpopular with more releases.

TLJ ruined everything so much that I have no interest in going back to watch the original trilogy. If kids feel the same I do, Star Wars will not remain relevant forever.
