^^ The video above shows the shitty 15fps or so cloud version of Resident Evil 7 for the Switch (wifi necessary as well). Clearly Capcom does not give a shit about the Switch whatsoever. (source: GameXPlain)

Crapcom; for some backstory, most of their support for the Switch has been shitty cashgrabs and "tests" for future games on the Switch. For instance, Capcom said Street Fighter II Ultra on the Switch was a test for what the future holds with Capcom games on the Switch. SFII Ultra was considered a great success in 2017 alone with around 450k sold (25ish yr old game btw). THEN, Capcom had the nerve to say Monster Hunter XX is also a test for future games on the Switch (it also sold well).

Well so much for their "future" on the Switch which seems to be just a bunch of shitty cash grabs like RE7. The only new and decent game coming to Switch this year is Mega Man 11.

Crapcom can't make good games/ports anymore lmao.

Oh dear! Ya Nintendo fans are such victims to “Crapcom.”

Seriously guys, stop pretending like every little release by every third party is part of some kind of agenda against Nintendo. If a company had an agenda against Nintendo there would be zero releases and they would be bashing them.

We’ve seen Monster Hunter on Nintendo consoles for years, and we’ve seen it so FAR better on PS4 very recently; this is just a fact of the market, and the agenda of any company is maximizing profits.

Stop playing the Nintendo victim game.

Here are the ways Capcom has clashed with Switch owners:

-Selling an HD version of SFII for around 40€ and telling people "it's a test to see how well their games do", subtily threatening to cut support if the game didn't sell. This is less than a year appart from a SF compillation release that has way more value, making Ultra Street Fighter II pointless now.

-Keeping Monster Hunter XX away from a western release to make sure it didn't affect MHWorld, and only now bringing it to the West. Still at full price.

-Making most of their retail versions practically incomplete, forcing considerable downloads for a console that doesn't have that much internal space to begin with, even if they don't need it (Megaman Collection, Resident Evil Revelations...).

-Bringing digital only games to the West when they brought retail versions for other consoles, or even for the Switch in Japan (Okami).

-Bringing a cloud-only version of Resident Evil 7, a game that doesn't do anything to prove it can only run by cloud, and not the hardware itself, with a bussiness model that only lets you play for less than a year before having to pay again.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I just can't get over that Capcom released a physical version of Mega Man but then make 90% of the package a required download

Thats not full list: :D

- releasing a port of SF2 of all games for $40 when the SFCollection was already in development for the machine at that time
- not releasing Okami HD day and date
- not releasing any old RE game port despite RER1+2 selling so well last year
- localize MHXX one year later and 8 months after a better MH game released
- not releasing the Disney afternoon collection on the console that has the most retro-centric userbase
- not releasing the DMC HD collection when the re-release of Bayonetta 1+2 proved that there's a sizeable BTA audience already present
- refusing to use a single cartridge (that wouldn't cost more than a PS4 Blu-ray) for both MMLC or MMXLC games and thus alienating part of the target audience
- refusing to release retail versions of MMLC, MMXLC, RER1+2 in Europe despite being an important market for Capcom
- and now, releasing a cloud version of RE7 exclusively in its worst market out of the big 3 instead of making a full price port for a worldwide release

I agree with the cartridge issue, as that smacks of cheapness. The late ports, lack of easy ports and low  level releases is more of them having no faith in Nintendo's new device with is probably more business then personal.

But we should all be aware Capcom as a whole has struggled recently despite the success of Monster Hunter they have had a number of bungled launches and under performing games. So I don't think it is fair to say all of it is against Nintendo they just have made several poor decisions as a whole for all platforms.

Tbf they haven't exactly helped themselves in this regard when they say things like a game being a test and so on such PR creates the very notion people have here.

Compare this to another company who have had a few ups and downs recently in SE their PR and handling of things hasn't created any such notion with their releases.

I would also like to point out they are ripping UK customers off by charging £13 more for the Switch version of Street Fighter anniversary collection, where in the US they have matched the Xbone and PS4 price of $40.

It's not longer called a Switch tax, it's a Capcom tax, Ubisoft have done the same with South Park The Fractured Port.

I agree, it seems like they dont want to invest too much in Switch and hopely that will change beacuse Switch continue to selling great and install base is incrasing rapidly and Switch strated to be strongest console in Japan. But porting some other older RE games and espacily Disney Afternoon Collection is no brainer in any case, I mean probably we will get them later but they already needed to be on Switch.
