Forums - Gaming Discussion - Black Ops 4 Is Setting A Dangerous Precedent

Who the hell cares about CoD campaign? Most players don't even touch it, just play MP.

Wel for me who has no time to play online, single player was it. Yes some of them were not great campaigns but at least it played well enough to enjoy it and get the war game fix lol.

Haven't bought a COD since Black Ops 1

I'd say its bout time they focus on it being a total MP experience.

For me, COD4 was the only one to have a halfway decent Single Player Campaign and even that pales compared to Wolfenstein's, Doom 2016, and I even say Rage....(clearly I like ID and Bethesda)

From my viewpoint always thought it'd make more sense for COD to be like a $5 monthy subscription game that just updates every year with new content.

I'm not convinced it's a bad thing. The single player they've included has been a joke for a while now. This will just funnel more of the single-player shooter sales into other games like Bethesda's fantastic offerings.

A lot of people.

Yes some people still bought it for the campaign. I'm hoping to move onto other better single player shooters like Rage 2 or Metroid Prime 4.

I always thought most didn't care for CoD SP...

I'm not against a pure BR CoD but against putting in to sell at 60 dollars. Fortnite is a behemoth because it's free with only microtransactions to generate revenue. I don't think a 60 dollar battle royale can survive for much time against a free game.

No one cares about the campaign.

Personally I think they should have added a 6 or 7 hour campaign. The game will sell 25 to 30m so they clearly have the revenue to do so. With a campaign it would have been the complete package. Zombies, multilayer, zombies and campaign. 4 strong pillars for BO4. Not to be. Zombies look interesting and battle royale mode could be epic. It's a €30 purchase at most for me if I get it at all.

There's been about 15 cods and this is the first with no campaign. End of an era.

Hopefully battlefield v reveal next week come out with their awesome multiplayer as usual, a battle royale mode and then say guess what folks here is a campaign. Even a bit of online Co op missions. The complete package.

Never mind other sites. This thread, alone, proves that to be false. Just because you may not care for the Campaign doesn't mean everyone feels the same.

Let's say this sells 30m. Surely a minimum of 30% will care about the campaign. Surely a pool of 10m or so players deserves the investment. Can't believe they didn't go the full hog. The game could of had series hype.
