this game should have release in game preview or which ironically has the same price. You can tell the game wasn't ready.

So this appears to be a case of "wait for fixes", it has become the theme of the 8th generation so far, so why not. It's reasonably priced, so I'll get it once the most major issues are sorted, with the Xbox - Windows 10 deal I get two games for the price of one, which is neat.

My impressions after a solid 10 or so hours in the game:

+ The night is incredibly dark and very tense
+ It’s essentially SoD 1.5, which is great. All the stuff that made SoD good plus some other stuff
+ I really like how they changed vehicles into a rarer commodity that you have to take care of
+ Really nice character progression system makes replay value very high
+ Plague hearts are difficult just in the first map, can’t imagine how hard they’ll be once I move maps since each progression in areas ups the difficulty

- NPC logic makes zero sense at times. “Hey help me find food!” when there is food right in the building they’re staying in. “I got separated from my group, help me make it home please”. Ok, sure. Let’s just exit this shed and hey, look at that, you’ve actually just been in your backyard the whole time. Luckily this is rare

And I gotta wonder if the people whining about constant bugs were playing before they maybe patched them out or were playing on PC where it’s apparently a lot messier in bugs and co-op. On Scorpio the only bugs I’ve had were my character moving super fast Neo style behind the wheel of my truck once, and when returning to base the door to my home base would sometimes appear to be open but I couldn’t go through it and would have to open it.

I’d give it an 8, possibly moving up or down depending on how the rest of the game goes. Haven’t lost anyone yet, got 8 in my crew, but have had multiple very close calls and I gotta move my base now to something bigger. We’ll see.

Played the game yesterday and i enjoyed it. There one a minor bug once but besides that i dont think the game deservers ynder a 70 score.

If there are bugs on PC, I wouldn't really chalk that up to whining. That's more a legitimate concern, since MS was backing them, and that the devs should work on said bugs asap.

The game came with options on PC, but it seems they didn't input for common settings like FoV, Motion blur, DoF, Mouse smoothing and film grain. The other settings like grass density and super sampling could have been added, as they do exist in some open world games already, like Ark and Conan exiles.
