I remember a game like this on the Wii when I was younger, first time I played that I had a blast, is this the same game? Looks really similar.

I never even knew where was this game on Wii. Completely flew under my radar.

If it is anything like Wii Sports Resort, than Nintendo makes a big error leaving this stuff for Namco to cash in.

I'll hold out to wait if they utilize the Joycons in a proper way. If they do, I can see and buy this as a new Sports Resort game.

Yeah would have loved a new one, but I guess this will suffice, didn't play it that long anyways as I was just visiting at the time I played it.
