I have never quite got this perspective of something thats still under 80M being considered as being everywhere and having hit market saturation.

Especially when you consider that the PS4 has still (i think) won every single week globally in 2018 this far. Nothing about that screams ubiquitous; even worse to accept that it is would mean that the other consoles are just doing really bad if they are still beng outsold globally by a console thats already considered to be everywhere.

According to Matt(NPD guy) The One X is playing a part in the XBO being up YoY so it's helping boost sales. 

If the XBX never existed you can't minus off the current XBX sales and say look it's doing better. Because a lot of those people would've bought XB1's instead.

Now that the Vita has sold 88 units in N. America alone, it will now go back in time and set things right.



I really like my Vita. Really wish it did better in sales because the thing is advanced for its time and has really great features.

That really puts things into perspective.
PS4 at near 80m, when this time in its life the PS3 was around 51m..... still abit (~5m) behinde the Wii though.

PS4 is a beast, its easily going over 120m lifetime.
