So parenting works by spending $300-400 for Xmas on something the kid doesn't want?

There's certainly more than just one thing a child wants. So if the primary choice falls flat, move on to the next one on the list of wanted things of the son/daughter.

Looking at Tropical Freeze's numbers, It looks you can chalk another one up on the list of "Ports of Wii U games on the Switch that are selling faster than or outsold their original Wii U counterparts."
- Mario Kart
- Pokken
- Bayonetta 1 & 2
- DKC

And I wouldn't be surprised if Hyrule Warriors joins that list as well. In fact, I expect it to.

Hyrule Warriors released almost 2 months ago in Japan and has done considerably worse than the original.

I mean, the Switch has already sold 600k+ more units than the Wii U did in Japan. That's a rather low bar to celebrate.

It releases this week everywhere else and has been charting pretty high in pre-orders. And since the Switch will actually have legs and a full life cycle, plus the influx of new Zelda fans thanks to Breath of the Wild, it's only a matter of time.

I dont get you, why are you being such a negative nancy? Have you ever made one positive post since you joined?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

In previous months many people said things like, "those games didnt sell on Wii U, why would they on Switch?" And now we are seeing these games do well so its worth mentioning.

Since this is the media create thread, i thought you were talking about Japan.

But ya it should be a decent sized hit globally.

I see data and calculate data.  I give opinions backed by data. If there is positive data then I am positive. Last week for instance I stated that DKTF had a strong opening week.

Believe me, if I see someone celebrating that a Vita port sold better on PS4 than it originally did on the Vita I'd have the same response. The user-bases are not congruent.
