Forums - Movies & TV - Your top 10 favorite ever movies?

Gladiator
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
The Departed
Django Unchained
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (this might be cheating, but like the Mass Effect trilogy in gaming, I simply view these as parts of a whole)
Die Hard
The Dark Knight
Casino Royale
The Matrix
Rush

Outside of Gladiator, which is in fact my favorite, these aren't in any particular order. Narrowing it down to 10 is insanely hard though. There's so many fantastic movies. I could do honorable mentions for days

You appear to have great taste in films, since this is my top film of all time too, lol :P

Gets me right in the feels every time!

I was thinking about widening mine to a top 15 because damn, but since a few of mine are already in your list, I guess I can be a little bit more limited. I don't think I have good taste in movies, because my list is weird af , with a ridiculous amount of Marvel, way too many movies from the last couple of years and also one or two movies not a lot of people give a shit about.

10. Avengers: Infinity War
9. Rango (yeah, wtf, I know.)
8. The Matrix
7. Baby Driver
6. Alien
5. Black Panther
4. Inglourious Basterds
3. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I'd list Mad Max: Fury Road, Pulp Fiction, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Django Unchained, The Dark Knight and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as honorable mentions, but, then again I could go on. Never got too much into Casino Royale or modern Bond just in general, but Skyfall did wow me and it would be somewhere near that list.

People like what they like. I mean, if everyone had "good taste" in movies, I suppose we'd all be listing the top 10 rated movies from meta, rottentomatoes, imdb, or whatever. That wouldn't be very interesting, would it?

1. Pirates of the Caribbean
2. Clockwork Orange
3. Interstellar
4. Training Day
5. Lion King
6. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
7. Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
8. Spaceballs
9. Rocky
10. Breakfast at Tiffany's

My top 10 has been the same for many years now.
Interstellar and Django Unchained came close yet all 10 are still better imo.

1. Princess Mononoke, 1997, Hayao Miyazaki
2. Spirited away, 2001, Hayao Miyazaki
3. Blade runner, 1982, Ridley Scott
4. 2001: A space odyssey, 1968, Stanley Kubrick
5. 12 monkeys, 1995, Terry Gilliam
6. Children of men, 2006, Alfonso Cuarón
7. Akira, 1988, Katsuhiro Ôtomo
8. The Matrix, 1999, Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
9. City of god, 2002, Fernando Meirelles, Katia Lund
10. Baraka, 1992, Ron Fricke
