I'd like to remind everyone that the opinions of critics are most definitely not the end all be all of opinions. Critics loved The Last Jedi and gave it an 85 on Metacritic and a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the user scores were only 4.6 on Metacritic and 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating that roughly half of all Star Wars fans didn't like it.

Critics not liking Solo as much as The Last Jedi might not mean that it's a worse movie, in fact it might even be a good thing, because in my experience often it is the movies the critics don't like as much that end up being the biggest hits with general audiences.

A lot of that is down to the film being review bombed. Imdb is a bit more indicative of what audiences actually thought.

TLJ turned me off from Star Wars completely, so I had little expectations of this and most likely wont see it. Good or bad review scores don't signal what a movie is to me, so I would say to the people who are going to just keep an open mind.

Does not mean much

So looking like a skip?

Ive heard about this review bomb but I feel if the movie was good it would have rebound with good reviews by those who like it

I'm finding it really hard to care about Disney's Star Wars movies after the Last Jedi. Maybe if they'd found exactly the right guy to play Han Solo, I'd be into this, but holy hell did they botch that casting. Guy doesn't look like Han Solo, doesn't sound like Han Solo, and damn sure appears nowhere near as charismatic as Han Solo. So.....no thanks.

I grew up with Disney...loved their old cartoons.

There days this is the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear Disney:

It did on imdb. It's easier to influence the score on metacritic and rotten tomatoes.

I refuse to believe Solo will be worse than Last Jedi. I can't say i am looking forward to the movie but i won't judge it before seeing it
