No[e. Relations would have been better if the locals weren't forced out if their homes so a new dtate could be built. I assure you relations would be the same even if both sides were atheists. The motivations would have been different though

Haha, if the entire middle east was atheist (or even Jewish) we might actually see peace there. They slaughter each other over the best way to practice Islam.

I think you don't understand the middle east at all. It's political not religious in the middle east. religion is just being used. Propaganda tools to sway weak minded individuals:

religion

nationality

race

language

The easiest is religion since you can twist and turn it to your will. You clearly have no idea about Islam or the middle east. Sorry but go read up

Problem with islam is that it refuses to adapt to 21st century unlike basically all other big religions today.

What like when Chritianity/Catholics refuse birth control for women and then ban abortions when they get pregnant?? In certain US states the conservatives cut money to sex education so unwanted births go up and then blame the girl when they are raped by men, fathers etc and refuse them to abort? How is that a moden way of thinking on any scale??? Ireland only voted to allow abortion a few weeks ago. Northern Ireland, under UK rule, still bans abortions. In the UK abortions are allowed!  So it isn't just Islam, it is ALL religions who have some aspect of their belief system that is stuck in the DARK AGES. When was the last time Catholics were involved in the mass genocide of muslims?? If you know your history it wasn't very long ago. Please stop being biased for or against 1 religion.

Religion, as a concept, is by definition from the Dark Ages, when humans had very little understanding of the world around them. Anything too complex to understand was considered magic, witch craft or from the gods.

Catholics =/= Christians. They don't speak for the whole Christian community. I'm a christian, but not a catholic.

About the settlements, which I'm totally against. In theory, legally, this is Israel State territory nowadays right? Again, just a simple question to increase my knowledge (like the Oman question).
What they do is totally wrong and is a way of silently win the conflict by simply occupying the territory. But at the same time, if it is legally their territory, it does not make sense to not use it since Palestinian government refused several times a 2 state reasoning.

The entire area is fucked. No wonder so much war and refugees. Best to avoid the area like a plague.  There will never be peace in the Middle East.

I did write "IF YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY" and you are obviously ignorant.

In 1995 Serbian christians/catholics committed a genocide and killed over 8,000 muslim men and boys from Bosnia.

Should I redraw that graph for you?? Even if you take into consideration deaths from 9/11 (which was just 6 years later) you can't even come close to 8000 catholics, christians or jews killed by muslims.

When you learn history come back and talk! Just imagine how many countries the US would invade if 8000 Americans had been killed by muslims.

So many stupid people on here.

If you want to include death in war, radical Muslims will take the lead again by a huge margin. Just the civil war in Somalia has probably killed more than half a million. Factor in para-military groups around the world like ISIS or Boko Haram and the number of victims go into millions. Islamic terrorism has killed about 16000 people in 2017 alone, no comparison to Christianity or Hinduism.

There's a lot of misconceptions about the whole Israel/Palestine issue. Let's get started...

1. Palestine was never a country of it's own, just a region, that has been passed between different countries for over 2000 years. The word Palestinian doesn't refer to a nationality, anymore than Appalachian, or Floridian refers to a nationality.

2. Israel and Judah were both destroyed by 586 B.C. So the Jewish people have been without a homeland for 2,500 years. (IMO they had no right to claim the area as their own, since there should be a statute of limitations on a people claiming land as their own, because they used to live there.)

3. The Gaza strip is a little strip of land next to Egypt This area of land was controlled by Egypt prior to the Six Day War.

4. The west bank is a batch of land on the eastern side of Israel. Prior to the Six Day War it was controlled by Jordan.

5. The Six Day War was caused by Egypt trying to blockade Israel's sea trade routes. Israel then responded by attacking Egypt, and it's allies. Israel easily won this war in a period of six days, taking the Gaza Strip from Egypt, and the West Bank from Jordan.

6. The U.N. outlawed taking and occupying the land of another nation after WWII. Israel used the Six Day War to take land from Egypt/Jordan. Therefore their occupation of these areas is technically illegal. (Note: I support their taking of these areas. They won the war, and they were provoked into defending themselves.)

7. The British Empire told the Jewish people that they could not move to the Palestine area (this was when the British owned the area as a colony). After WWII they did it anyway, making many Jewish people illegal immigrants.

8. The Palestinians have used terrorism, and revolt in order to try to form their own nation, as well as destroy Israel.

9. The Israelites have been actively trying to displace, marginalize, and replace the Palestinian minority for over 40 years. Their goal is to make Gaza, and the West bank into areas where only Jewish people live.

TL/DR: Nobody has a legitimate claim to this land, and both sides are extremists.
