At E3 this year, Square Enix will be hosting a special event. The company today announced the Square Enix E3 Showcase 2018 which will feature “exciting news and announcements”.

The event will take place on June 11 at the following times:

 

– 10 AM PT
– 1 PM ET
– 6 PM in the UK
– 7 PM in Europe

Thing is, all of those could be shown on other E3 shows. Microsoft supposedly has the marketing rights for Tomb Raider so they could show it at Microsoft's conference. They could show KH3 and FF7 Remake at Sony's conference as they have in the past. Octopath and World Ends With You could be shown in the direct or during the treehouse. So why have you own conference? They must have multiple new games to announce. Fingers crossed for Sleeping Dogs 2, the Sleeping Dogs movie is coming next year and it would be great if they had a new game to go alongside it.

you are right, normally they have only their own showcase when they have to show some new games...so lets see what will happen this year

Oh man E3 is the most exciting time of the year for us gamers. I love to watch all the main conferences even if they are not related to my gaming like the Microsoft conference. It's always good to see what direction the industry is taking for the rest of the year. And now we can watch them all live online.

It really is an exciting time to be a gamer.

Hope we get a glimpse of Yoko Taro's next project, after Nier Automata I will buy anything that man puts out.

Actually, it starts out as FFXV - 2 and it's about 4 adolescent women who go to space, but it gets delayed and releases on PS7 when their new Blight Engine is finally able to run games.
