The chart looks very similar every week lol

Pocky Lover Boy!

GOW seems like GT where you buy the console before the game comes out cause you know what you are getting based on previous gen. So like i said, the folks that wanted to play GOW been had a PS4, they did not wait for the game to launch.

PS4 first, NS second and XBOne distant third again.
Overall no big changes from last week except PSV quite big percent boost, but on tiny numbers, so giving tiny numbers again.
And like PSV, but with far bigger numbers, 3DS just doesn't wanna die.

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

Figures are not bad for the PS4 but honestly I was expecting a bigger surge in sales for the week of the God of War game.

I thought it would sell 400 - 500k consoles in that week if not more.

I guess most people who bought God of War already had a PS4.

Good point and where in the ps2 and 3 era you had to replace the console more often due to hardware issues

This has surely got to be a factor. I went through like 5 PS2s and a 6 Xbox 360s and 2 PS3s but this gen my launch PS4 is still working perfectly well after 4 and a half years!

Seriously, what do you guys do with your consoles? The only console that ever failed on me is my NES, and even that one just happened a couple years ago. Even my gameboy and SNES still work perfectly after all these years, and the PS1 and PS2 I have are both the first models, both working like a charm.

I wonder when are Sony and MS going to give up on those current prices.

I think the issue (at least with sony) is that tehre is no reason to drop the price. Its still selling about 1M consoles every month and these are the slow months. Same average its pretty much had since the start of the gen.And at this point its probably close to 80M sold, and most likely to cross 90M with the temporal fall season sales.

When looking at hardware thats sold 90M in 5yrs and still selling well and whose only real competition at that time will be at at least 45M behind in sales.... it gets really hard justifying a price drop.

As for MS, I think they have already internally accepted that they have lost this gen and by now know there isn't much they can do to change the state of things, so in their case it makes very little sense dropping prices and bleeding money; their best play right now is to focus on making the XB1 as profitable as possible.

With 80m consoles sold, it's really hard to peak, even with God of War. The only thing that can make PS4 peak is Christmas, I guess.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

When PS4 reaches 90M it is more likely that X1 will be at 40 than 45M.
