How much would you invest in Metroid Prime 4 if you were in Nintendo ?

20 milions or less 26 31.71%

21-40 milions 26 31.71%

41-60 milions 8 9.76%

61-80 milions 6 7.32%

81-100 milions 1 1.22%

Over 100 milions ! 10 12.20%

Nothing, cancel the game ... 5 6.10%

Total:82

I don't know, I'd like to get to know the developers first.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Considering the sales of the previous Prime games, anything over 40 million is very unlikely.

This is one game they cannot afford to cheap out on.

I'm not saying give it a GTA-esque budget higher than the GDP of some developing nations, but the original Metroid Prime games were renowned for their production values, with handcrafted detail poured into every room, fixture, and creature. It's a big part of what made their worlds so immersive and memorable.

If they cut corners on this one and make it look like a low budget knockoff, the game's appeal and impact will be crippled.

Typically, I'd agree with 20m. But I think there's a chance they want to try and push Metroid to the forefront of their lineup; a more adult looking game for a more adult oriented Nintendo - so something like 50m.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

If MP4 gets BOTW level reception, you can bet the sales will go through the roof for it. But I do think they have to invest top tier money for that to happen. This is a game that needs very expensive production values.

Make a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD + the hype that has already been created by Metroid Prime 4, I would bet for this game surpassing the 4 million in sales, maybe they could put a season pass? an investment of 30 - 40 million would be possible.

Switch Friend Code = 5965 - 4586 - 6484

Enough so that it would require about a million sales to equal profit. Or half the cost of Zelda BoTW.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

20m at max. Honestly, Nintendo could make a very polished and beautiful game with that budget. They're very good at managing resources.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I have to confess, I am very worried about this one.

I want to get hyped, but I can't help feeling like they're going to ruin it somehow, either by having making Samus an insecure over-talkative wuss with daddy issues like in Other M, or going with a cheap and tacky art style.

I just find it so hard to see Nintendo giving this game the treatment it deserves when they haven't done so with a comparable game since, well, since Prime 3 in 2007. Does modern Nintendo even have it in them to make a great Metroid game without undermining it somehow? I want to believe, but I'm not confident.

I fail to see how making a great Metroid game would be so much harder for them than what they just did with BotW.
