Goldeneye on N64 had a killer campaign.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Or Borderlands 2.

Goldeneye probably. Though I am partial to Exhumed/Powerslave and the original Doom.

Half Life 2 for me. Finished that game multiple times and can still enjoy it today.
Followed closely by Halo Reach.

I'd say Bioshock. Nice twist, too. I also think the Resistance series has had good campaigns.

I'd probably go for Halo 2 closely followed by Call of Duty 4.
