The endgame is to create a world inhabited by characters who exist independently of you. Like the real world. They’ll have conversations among themselves, which will branch and change depending if you’re nearby or get involved. NPCs aren’t there simply to give you missions or upgrade your items. This world doesn’t revolve around you.

lost count of the amount of times i've read about a game aiming for this, and there is yet to be one that comes close to truly delivering that feeling, at least that i've played.  maybe this will be another step closer at least

"Rockstar’s dedication to the medium continues. It fuses new gameplay experiences with ground-breaking visual technology - Gun fighting, soundtrack, and the new camp system have expanded the possibilities of what is possible in videogames....The most revolutionary system in RDR2 is the camp. It’s the first time I have seen anything like this in a game."

Wan't o see some gameplay, but I don't have any plans to pick it for consoles, I'll wait for the PC version as I did with GTAV.

Eh, I wanna get excited, but knowing Take Two's track record, I have a sick feeling it's gonna be milked dry with P2W microtransactions. Look at what they did with GTAO and NBA 2K18, they made everything as tedious to grind through as humanly possible to strongarm people into buying MTXs. I expect the online portion to be P2W at the very least, especially after reading their latest report.

They also defended EA's scummy use of loot boxes in SWBFII, saying they aren't gambling which is a load of BS to anyone with a working brain. That should tell you where their priorities lie. SPOILER: not with the consumers.

We got some more new info from Italian gaming site Everyeye:

-The story is more about the Van der Linde Gang than about Arthur Morgan himself, Morgan was just chosen to be an objective viewpoint for the gang's story.

-Every gang member has an important role in the story, and the majority of the game's main missions are given out by gang members.

-If you fill up your horses' inventory, you can carry some supplies on Arthur's own personal inventory, but it's much smaller than the horses' inventory.

-RDR2's random events are an evolution of the random events found in the 1st game. They are much more detailed, every random event starts a short, dynamic, unpredictable story, like a shorter version of the side missions in RDR1.

-Rockstar has been working on improving their AI tech for the past 6 years.

-There is no information yet about rather or not RDR2 will have multiple difficulty levels.

-Trains carry weapons and can be raided.

-Everyeye believes that Rockstar has 2 more preview events planned, one for the story and one for the multiplayer.

-Gameplay footage will be shown by early July at the latest.

-There are prostitutes in the gang's camp which Arthur can "interact" with.

-There was only 1 loading screen in the demo, during the bank heist.

-Duels are back.

-They could not confirm rather swimming is in the game.

Thanks for posting.

Sounds good but fairly standard. It's good enough for me though.
