Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Labo is a huge ripoff and a waste of a great concept (so far)

Concept sometimes take time to mature.

And for me Nintendo is a company that likes to rip-off customers with their practices to keep prices of over 2 and up to 5 years old games the same. Same issue I see when they go and expend 10-30M on a 10M seller charging it 60USD, which most companies have to put like 5x more.

It isnt Nintendo's fault that people see more value in their games. People spend $60 because they feel it's worth it. It isn't a ripoff, everyone has a choice to buy or not

I told you this scam stinks all the way. You Nintendo fanboys have to ve absolutely blind to get one of these piece of rubish even for a kid that would absolute hate it. This is NOT the biggest Nintendo ripoff of all, you are wrong. This is the BIGEST RIPOFF of the decade. Worst than that pet stones sold in the states. And you fools fell for it. Bad bad bad. I don’t see Nintendo recovering of this at all they now forever mark as crooks with a reason.

This is the equivalent of an adult buying a build your own radio kit and then raging after the fact about how the sound quality isn't that great and the radio isn't aesthetically pleasing and the tuner doesn't pick up all stations clearly.

It was never about the games.

So that somehow makes it acceptable for them to charge $70-80 for something worth maybe $20? Also, kids are kids, not idiots. Entertaining most of them actually takes effort, same as for adults. If my little nephews got bored with Labo even quicker than I did, then Nintendo did something wrong.

Sony had no mans sky,

Microsoft Sea of thieves,

Now Nintendo has labo.

All 3 way too expensive.

I honestly think you're overreacting.

Labo isn't a game.

It's DIY toys for kids. My daughter loves the House and its games, as well as the piano and RC car. We'll be building the Fishing Game tomorrow, and she's been super excited about it.

Hi there. Sony Pony here.

My daughter loves it, and I have fun building it. Thank you, however, for assuming only Nintendo fans like it. My existence itself seems to dismantle your very argument.

Sure sure their product is the most valuable in history... the fact some or several people pay a price on something doesn't make it unaceptable for others to think it is a rip-off.

Again, and this makes it acceptable because.....

???

I guess I expected more from Nintendo, since quite frankly they rarely let me down.

The funny thing is Nintendo games are much cheaper in 2018 than they were in the 90s. Try $74.99 for DKC and Street Fighter II Turbo back in the day. With adjusted inflation thats over $100, those games were nothing content wise compared to Odyssey and BOTW (both of which HAVE been discounted this year at retail). Yet everyone is insatiable these days...
