What's the point of having a distinction between a plurality and majority then if they mean the exact same thing?

Playing semantics at this point, the issue here is the trend. Why are white males fleeing the democrats in increasing numbers? It's because they're being persecuted by leftists progressives.

Nah, I think it's because they're realizing that the Democratic party is a scam. Unfortunately where they're switching to is also a scam.

How does the saying go? If you aren't a Democrat before 20, you have no heart. If you are one above 20, you have no brain. Something like that.

Normally it is 40 referring to when you become so invested within a system you no longer wish to see change.

No, I've heard this from many white millennials, they're fed up with the persecution they're facing from leftists despite them ideologically aligning more with them. It's the same reason blacks have largely left the Republican party. What we have is two racist parties, we have the democrats which are largely racist against whites and we have the republicans which are largely racist against minorities.

Change the word white to black in your sentence. Sound reasonable?

Doesn't sound reasonable regardless of the color, gender or age.

No one is switching out of ego. Whites are switching to Republicans to push back against the systemically racist policies and ideologies of the left, despite the left most likely aligning more with their economic and sociological views. Same reason why most gays are Democratic, because even if they agreed economically and otherwise with Republicans, it's hard to support a party and ideology that discriminates against you as an individual.

The Democrats, racist against whites? Only 13% of Democratic Senators are racial/ethnic minorities:

43% of people in the House, but that isn't considered to be as prestigious:

Well I see how Unite the Right happened. A dang shame and waste.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

It's funny when I see Americans who have never had experience with multiple party politics say that the representation would be broader had they had more than two. I can assure you, from the perspective of a system that supports almost 50 parties that it doesn't really matter how many parties you have, you will always have that problem.

The American system is pretty good because it simplifies for the average citizen who won't have to deal with a whole new party if their thoughts differ in trivial matters like marihuana legalization or degree of institutionalized abortion to be accepted. It focus on the differences between individuals inside the party instead of marginalizing any difference whatsoever, which causes narrow-minded groups to be formed all around that allow absolutely no connection between them.

Americans should be glad of the system they, instead they barely know anything else.

What does that have to do with anything? We had a black president for 8 straight years - that's a 100% ratio. Did that magically make racism against AA disappear? Heck no. The demographic makeup of an institution has no bearing on the racist ideologies and policies of that institution and especially it's supporters.

Wouldn't that just go against your point? That since we had a black president, that it doesn't mean that the Democrats are racist against whites?

Not particularly surprising. 2016 was a bad year for the Democrats. They had the millennial vote for the taking and pretty much did all they could to turn them away.
