Forums - Gaming Discussion - Buying a console for one game?

I bought a Switch for SMT V so im guilty of this.

But for the PS4 dilemma I would look into some of the other Sony exclsuvies to see if any of them catch your eye before jumping into this.

I've never bought a system for one game, but I do think some games are so transcendently great they're worth $200 or $300, e.g. Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy VI, Breath of the Wild.

I wouldn't, though every single console has a couple of games that interest me. Maybe try to find one second hand on the cheap?

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

My advice is wait to see what's happening with H1Z1. The game has nothing to do with Sony now and if it does release on PS4 then it will most likely get an Xbox release soon after. It's just that it seems the Devs are having trouble doing a console port, and they were hit with lay offs recently. Don't commit to a console for a game that is having development problems, wait for it to release then see what happens

There are much better reasons for a PS4 than a port of a mediocre PC game.

Well, I can understand wanting a console mainly for one game, but I tend to pick up other games while I'm at it, too.

You can buy a console for one specific game, but I would never buy a console where i had no intention of buying more games after that one

Just have a look at a retailer or amazon. Make a list and test out if you can get 5 games that look interesting for that console.

You will buy the Ps4 for this game, but there should be more games that follow up. Otherwise you will pay 250$+ for one game. That is very expensive.

I once entertained the idea of purchasing an Xbox One for Cuphead...

Fret not my worried little muffin top. All that means is you're growing into your adult body. You're what we call in the industry a seasoned vet. One who makes unbiased decisions in his/her gaming expedition...willing to sacrifice the exact electricity bill it takes to play that ONE GAME YOU JUST HAVVVE TO PLAY.

.....I'm done. Or am I....hmmm
