Let's get our early E3 predictions out there.

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Let's get our early E3 predictions out there.

Who will win E3?

Nintendo 21 55.26%

Sony 11 28.95%

Microsoft 3 7.89%

Other 3 7.89%

Total:38

So, it's that time again. Nintendo has already posted their entire schedule, and before every gaming site/twitter gamer "insider" posts what's gonna be at E3, why not try to make our own predictions, as well as who's gonna win E3.

First off, I'll start off with saying I think out of the main 3 presentations, Nintendo will win this E3, and no one has been more critical of Nintendo or switch games than me.

Now game reveal predictions:

Nintendo:

Metroid Prime 4: Super excited to see this game. One of my most anticipated. Hopefully for release this year.

Bayonetta 3: Another one of my most anticipated games.

New Monolith Soft project: Don't know what it is, but dispite disliking XC2, still excited to see the new game they are bringing to the table, as they have made two of my favorite games of all time, XC, and XCX.

New Fire Emblem: I like the series, played a ton of them, would love to see a Switch version.

Pokémon Switch: If shown the world will explode. This pick is a bit of a stretch.

Super Smash Bros: It's in the schedule for a tournament of this game to happen.... So obviously.

Xenosaga HD: Because it's gonna happen sooner or later. Will be great to step back in a game like X again. Excited, though I'm playing them now on my pc in 1080p.

Sony:

Kingdom Hearts 3: Jesus has this been a long time coming. With all the news coming out about the new world (game and watch world) I think it'll be there. Supposed to release this year too right?

Final Fantasy VII: Hopefully the reveal of when episode 1 will release.

Beyond Good and Evil 2: We should see a bit more of this I hope.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Seen the tiniest bit about it, rumors got it releasing this year.

Microsoft:

We'll see the multiplats from Sony.

Anthem: Looks really cool.

That's all I can think of.

YOUR TURN!

Nintendo must win.

I honestly think it would be great if Xbone won this year, just for a change of pace. I mean it's been FOREVER since they hands down won one of these.... Odds aren't in their favor though. Like at all. Even if they didn't win, just a really solid E3 from them would be so freaking refreshing.

Just doing Nintendo:
-Pokemon Switch and it will be 2018!
-Animal crossing it will also be in 2018
- Fire emblem 2018 stays the same
- Fortnite announcement just like Rocket League
- More of Yoshi
- Crash in SMASH!
- Since they specifically said games in 2018, I dont think we will see games like Bayonetta 3 and MP4. But if for some reason 1 or both of them do release in 2018...... I will be clapping!
- I can see them releasing an HD remake of one of the Mario games for December.

Pocky Lover Boy!

I guess it’s a matter of taste and console preference. MS seems to pull off surprises (last year’s OG Xbox titles, and PUBG). I’m more of an online multiplayer gamer and Xbox excels in that category so I expect a few cool announcements this year. Sony seems to tout single player experiences and anime games which I don’t care for. Nintendo, technically has the Treehouse thing and releases a video outside of E3. Is it fair to really rate their E3 presence for not really announcing much at the event? I don’t know, I don’t pay much mind to their E3 presence.

I typically only watch the Xbox show and get updates from the other shows online. My time is too valuable to basically sit through infomercials of products I’d never buy.

For me, Xbox will win E3 2018, easily.

I think all of these are quite possible yeah.

But you will see a 2019 game in the presentation. It just wont have prominent showing. So like a teaser or short trailer and nothing else. Whereas stuff like AC or FE for 2018 will have longer showings and more detailed info

I bet Nintendo will "win" due to (hopefully) Crash in Smash, which would help promote the N-Sane Trilogy coming out one month after E3. Tropical Freeze was ready to go in November 2013, so Retro's game should be revealed--hopefully a new IP. Cardboard Yoshi is likely to show up, but I'm not so sure about Fire Emblem since they keep releasing those games a year earlier in Japan than anywhere else. Then again, I suspect they'll announce Animal Crossing Switch even though that series has the same release pattern. Nothing more than a teaser for Prime 4--like 10-15 seconds of gloomy rainy planetary scenery and then BAM Ridley gets the drop on Samus! "2019 OR 2020 WHO KNOWS"

Sony will have another solid showing. Last of Us Part II gameplay (like Uncharted 4 at E3 2015), probably Ghost of Tsushima, maybe the mysterious new From Software title. Honestly I don't know how they'd show anything from that zombie horde game for a third E3 in a row that would get people excited; I suspect it's becoming Sony's take on Crackdown 3--a game without a too-familiar premise that was announced too early that too many people have bailed on.

Microsoft's my wild card. They almost had me last year with the "100 exclusive* games" nonsense, but it's all for naught if they suck or nobody cares about them. Now I did get Super Lucky's Tale at launch and ReCore the previous year, but nobody else cared about them. Microsoft really has the worst luck--they've got a bunch of new IPs this gen (including Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break) but none of them's moved the needle except for Sea of Thieves.

But what will they show? Forza Horizon 4's a lock. Some have their doubts about Halo 6, but I think it'll be revealed for release this holiday--most likely the story will suck again, but if by some miracle they've salvaged it, E3 is Microsoft's to lose. Keep in mind, it might not be the end of the arc since it's called the Reclaimer Saga now instead of Trilogy. Finally, back to Sea of Thieves--its first free update (The Hungering Deep) is coming in May, so they'll keep the momentum going with a trailer for the second expansion, Cursed Sails. And Crackdown will either blow our socks off with a re-reveal of a re-tooled game, or it'll be more of the same, coming out this time for sure!

Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA--I honestly don't care enough to predict their showings.

Sony:

What we expect to see more of (exclusives):
More Last of US part 2
More Spiderman
More Days Gone
More Death Stranding
More Ghost of Tsushima
More Final Fantasy VIIR (probably just a trailer)
More MediEvil Reboot/Remake?
More Yakuza Kiwami 2

Marketing:
Red Dead Redemption 2
Kingdom Hearts 3
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
new Batman Arkham game (from rocksteady)

New Exclusives:
BloodBorne II (aka shadows die twice by From Software)
The Order - 1866 part 2 (the devs said their working on a base from a new IP = 1866 part 2)
Devil May Cry 5
Demon Souls Remake

winning is conjecture, what ever has me wanting to throw money at them wins.

plus something tells me not to get my hopes up for any of them this year. I really hope I am wrong.

Edit: i do like how MS announces things closer to release than 3 years away.
