Star Fox Zero.

Sadly, I made the same mistake. I kept telling myself the reviewers were wrong and they just didn't understand the new mechanics.

I was never more wrong.

DB Xenoverse 2. Played for about two months never went back.

Sonic Mania.

Had I knew it was getting a physical release, I may have waited some to get that instead Dx

Fallout 4. maybe it was on me for choosing this as my entry into the Fallout series, but i just could not get into the game at all. there was story direction whatsoever, sidequests felt very one-n-done with no real appeal (at least from the few i completed), and then my biggest gripe - the difficulty spike. only a few hours into the game i was running into enemies that could kill me in just a few hits while it would take every round of ammo that i had just to get them to half health. lets just sum it up to - the game was not for me

It's been awhile, but probably FFXIII. Would be inevitable though as I can't avoid buying mainline FF games.

So the last avoidable one was probably GTA IV? Debatable, I don't really regret many purchases.

For both I was young and got duped by some good reviews and haven't trusted them since.

Shovel Knight Collection and Snipperclips. Bought into the hype around them, but neither held my attention for more than 45 minutes or so, wish I could get refunds on them.

Infinite Undiscovery, by the worse game I have ever paid for a $60 dollars game, and I paid 70, but some games didn't have the price reflected (This was during the time frame 1USD=1CAD)

Alien Isolation for $9.99, Currently downloading on Steam.

Love and tolerate.

I remember regretting buying Bravely Default when certain repetitiveness started to happen in the game, but I discovered certain game-breaking stuff and I ended up going through that repetitive part relatively fastly (for my standards) so I ended up not regretting it that much.
