So more online services and no games.let the hype begin for next gen online services.

Next gen online will be Xbox Live.

Around the Network

Would like to see them invest more into their PC division sometime within the next 3 years, rather than a 10 year long wait.

I am not surprised one bit. Phil clearly stated it takes time. After the X investment all focus can now easily shift to games. Common sense really.

One would assume that hardware and software investment would be separate entities.
I.E. You don't wait for one to do the other.

For example... Microsoft would already be planning and building the Xbox 4 and making investments towards that end, these things do take years.

We don't know exactly how Xbox is ran under MS. For all we know there budget for software and hardware could fall under the same budget system. Which would explain the lack of games last year due to there investment with the X. Not saying that's how they operate however it wouldn't be the same as Nintendo and PlayStation that's what I think.

New year, new budget for Xbox and it seems to be going the right direction, MS seem pleased to continue there support for the brand rather than reducing there budgets year on year until it dies.

Gaming, Search and AI engineering.

Fairly certain that at least the 3rd one of these would be getting a decent slice of this extra investment, more so again if you consider the advancements in work on Cortana/Bing/Edge

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Doesnt that Tweet say its up 3%? and that its from A.I Engineering, Search methodes, and lastly gameing.

3% up isnt alot, and not when your shareing most of that with other things than gameing.

I think what most people want to hear is something like (from xbox) :
"yes we ve up'ed our investment into gameing, we re spending 100% more in the near future, and have opened up 5 new studio's"

Not this:
"we re spending 3% more across A.I engineering (cortana yay!), Search Methodes (who doesnt love Bing?), and lastly Gameing!"
