Forums - Sony Discussion - The "BIG SONY GAME" on E3 Building 2018?

Final Fantasy 7 remake! :D Never say never!

More seriously, it should be Days Gone if the game is almost ready and release early 2019. It could be Spiderman if they feel like it needs a boost of recognition (not sure about that...) or if they prefer to advertise the console over a game (Spiderman would sell PS4s, Days Gone would help to sell the game).

TLOU2 is way too early IMO, surely next year.

I'll place my bets on Spiderman.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Lol you still remember that shit?

Come on... Take the bet... You know you want too..

Of course I do, you said you would wipe it on my face forever, so yeah, gonna keep it forever as well

Lol man I can be such a dick.

TLoU 2 is surely the biggest upcoming exclusive announced, so that would make sense. We should finally get to see some real gameplay at e3 too.

Spider-Man or the last of us 2

Spiderman

Spider-man on the side of a building just seems too obvious but perfect. It might be too close to launch though, but would also help since there are a few other big titles coming out around that time as well.

On the other hand, you have HZD wilderness, GOW wilderness, so Days Gone wilderness would also make a lot of sense and would follow the trend. Assuming Days Gone will launch early-mid 2019, it would fit the same marketing timelines that HZD and GOW had.

I could see Days Gone being on that same billboard, with Spider-man on another billboard/banner elsewhere.

It'd really surprise me if Sony *did not* have something new and big to announce. 2-3-4 years ago the tank was full of gas (GoW, TLG, FFXV, UC4) - now nearly all the big PS4 titles have almost all released.

Stuck thinking on what exactly that might be. My best guess might be a new DMC or some exclusive Star Wars game.

I would think re-upping PSVR support is in the cards too

The tank is still full of gas, as is we still have spiderman, GoT, Days Gone, Dreams and TLoU2 yet to come. I also have no doubt that teher will be at least a game or two announced too.

Do they really need new announcements that badly?

Honestly, this is the most evergreen the PS4 has ever been. That's because games are actually being delivered instead of just announced.

If Sony made any mistake, it was probably announcing Ghost of Tsushima at PGW instead of at E3. Honestly .... it's going to take so long to come out that it should have just been announced at E3. There's people that don't even know it exists, that still hunger for a new Sucker Punch game even though one's already being made ...

They really don't.

Sony's done an incredible job building out the PS4 library.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I'd say The Last Of Us: Part II. If the trend continues- Sony will stick with the biggest first party exclusive set to release the following year. I don't think it'll be Spider-Man because, although a console exclusive, it is still developed by a third party studio. That and it's so close to release.
