Forums - Sony Discussion - The "BIG SONY GAME" on E3 Building 2018?

It'd really surprise me if Sony *did not* have something new and big to announce. 2-3-4 years ago the tank was full of gas (GoW, TLG, FFXV, UC4) - now nearly all the big PS4 titles have almost all released.

Stuck thinking on what exactly that might be. My best guess might be a new DMC or some exclusive Star Wars game.

I would think re-upping PSVR support is in the cards too

Do they really need new announcements that badly?

Honestly, this is the most evergreen the PS4 has ever been. That's because games are actually being delivered instead of just announced.

If Sony made any mistake, it was probably announcing Ghost of Tsushima at PGW instead of at E3. Honestly .... it's going to take so long to come out that it should have just been announced at E3. There's people that don't even know it exists, that still hunger for a new Sucker Punch game even though one's already being made ...

I think it will be TLOU2. I dont think either Spiderman or Days Gone are proven yet and they will go with tbe sure fire one.

I'm hoping it will be BloocII3ourne, but realistically it will be Last of Us 2. Those are Sony's next biggest IPs to God of War etc.

Spiderman, like they just need to make him giant and pretend he's atached to the wall. There's a small chance it could be TLoUP2 if it comes out early 2019 but I don't see that happening

Definitely Spiderman

Actually GoT was supposed to be unveiled at E3 2017 but Sony wants to announce games closer to release so I can see the game releasing in the 1st half of 2019.

E3 2018 - Spiderman
E3 2019 - TLoU 2
E3 2020 - Death Stranding.

Each E3 the game promoted was for their next big game close to release. Next on the list is Spiderman, after that Days Gone (assuming so since it was originally a 2018 title). I think TLoU will release between September 2019- June 2020. So they will promote it then. Then it will be Death Strandings time to shine

That's still a year and a half.

I'm just saying I think the exposure at E3 would have been cool.

I think Sony Japan might have something in the works that they might announce.

But yeah all their major studios and projects have either been announced or released recently.

TLoU2 and Death Stranding were announced waaaay to early. And realistically by their development schedule they should have been announced at this year's E3.

GoW and Detroit just released. Spiderman and Days Gone are in the later parts of their development. Horizon just a year and a few months ago and Ghost of Tutshima was announced at PGW last October.

This E3, like last year, will be focused on showing more of the games that are already announced and coming. We will probably get a first gameplay look from TloU and death stranding, more of Ghost, something Spiderman and days gone, and maybe a few small announcements (exclusive) here and there. With some third party games.

Personally I'm really excited for E3 because if the slate of games were going to see more of that just seen awesome to me. But I'm not expecting or hoping big announcements to happen a lot, except from bathesda (Doom and starfield please)

Spiderman more than likely. The past murals were games that we all knew beforehand also as well. Doing big events year round, with PSX, E3, and the others in France, Germany, Japan, exc.. Spiderman is such an iconic likable superhero the world over. With as much as people already know and love that character, we'll be seeing it marketed very well.
