Not for nothing, but a lot of game companies recruit more people as a game is ramping up and getting closer to release. If anything this is a sign that the first part at least is closer than we thought.

FFXV was still recruiting a year before release as was Uncharted 4 just to hint that it’s not just something within square enix.

Yes this includes battle planners and key sounding name positions, even directors. I think we’re in for a surprise this E3.

why not?

Because that would mean that Square Enix's vision of Midgar, as well as it's scope and content, would be on the same level as Los Santos in GTA5 or the Commonwealth in Fallout 4. Both of which were able to fit it on one disc.

There's no way Sqaure Enix would waste so much money and man power on Midgar like that.

That's right because just like the FFXIII Trilogy, each part of FF7R is going to be a full length game. this is SE words, not mine.

This is another example of a game that was announced too early. Like, way, way, way too early.  They announced it before they even knew what game they were going to make.

announced a decade too early

I like how people here are optimistic. I too am optimistic, therefore my prediction of the release of the first part is 2025.

That has been sony strategy to boost ps4 sales since 2013 and it really worked well. Im a sony guy but I imagine what would be the outcome is xone was just a normal videogame since the beggining and if sony didnt hype games 5-8 years before the games launch.

Um. No... That is not Sony's strategy. And even if it was, it doesn't help a game when its announced too early - The Last Guardian is a prime example.

2011 - 2013 was the best time to release that game because interest levels were at it's peak, but obviously it didn't and the only direction you can go when you're at the top is down, down...and down. By the time The Last Guardian finally came out in Dec. 2016, interest in that game was minimal at best. Sales GREATLY suffered for that game for announcing it too early.

Yeah I know, I've read that statement from SE.

probably it should have been out by.. but the Cyberconnect2 messed up their part of the development, dont know why SE outsourced such an important title. and also nomura working on KH3 isnt helping speed up the process

Famous Last Words...

When you have a master piece imo, you stick to the script.
I wish they had kept combat as it was, and just done a overhaul with newer graphics.

FF VII remake should have been "just" updated textures, New character models with far better movements thanks to motion capture, dubbing, New CGIs, fully orchastrated and high quality sound track, full real time rendering and some new content like bosses, spells and New areas. Core gameplay, câmera, plot, battle system and etc. could just stay the same. If it's true that the first part will cover just til The Party leaves midgar how it will be a part every ten years.

That is what I wished for.
