The fact that PS4 is on par in the NA with the competition leads me to believe GOW is gonna do gangbusters for sales. GOW has a good following in NA and this installment looks to be a milestone in the series.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

3DS doing great considering its age, Xbox One is having a decent run since the launch of the Xbox One X, Switch is impressive by outselling Vita + 3DS + Xbox One combined, PS4 performance suggests that its wheels are beginning to fall off.

At this point in time I don't think there are too many people who are gamers left to buy a PS4. But we'll see come GOW release.

PS2+XB & PS3+360 sold ~180 million.

PS4+XBO are currently ~115 million so about 2/3 of their predeccessors.

Yup, but even without those numbers, the logic of many people already owning a console reducing sales just doesn't work for whatever reason. That's why new games always boost sales, even when you'd think everyone wanting it would have the system already.

Ps4's wheels are falling off? Interesting proposal, what do you expect it's sales to be this year?

I for one expect it to be pretty close to its peak year.

Ticking my prediction from 267,000 per week to 275,000 per week PS4 needs in order to reach 80 million by June. Obviously unknown how weekly numbers will fluctuate between God of War launch week and Detroit launch week. But if it can't reach 80 million before Summer officially is here then it'll surely reach it before Summer is over. Also is see 80 million milestone along with and E3 price drop announcement. $249 PS4. $349 PS4 pro.

This is the first time the switch has been below 200k since October.

XB1 just barely squeaked into first place in NA, with the other two extremely close.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I'm really pleased with those X1 sales.  I feel that, out of all the three companies, MS is the one that is behaving more pro-consumer at this moment (aggresive pricing, Gamepass, Play Anywere and freely enhanced games with BC) and for that I think the X1 deserves a second chance.

And I know it is not gonna end up anywhere near the other two, but if it keeps this pace, it has a good chance of selling 9m this year.  Which would put it back on track to the 60-65m range at the end of the gen.
