60" TV and I sit about 6 ft (or 2 meters) away from it. It's fantastic!

42 inch - 6,5 feet. once tried 55 .. it was a total overkill.

As I mentioned earlier, I had a 60".  I thought it was about perfect for that room   That's why I'm afraid 65" would be overkill.  I just wish there was a 60" TV in the same line I'm looking at.  I need to take a tape measure to a Best Buy and stand from the 65" and see what happens.

I have a 24" TV in my bedroom and I sit 2,1 varas away from it.

Dang.  How are your eyes?

55" TV - My couch is about 12' away.

I got a 55" television set and I sit at about 5 feet from the screen. Some might consider that too close but that's how I like it.

.

I'm in the zone, don't bother me!

They're fine.  Most people I know are roughly 60-72" from their televisions.

So let me ask you these questions: When you game, do you constantly find yourself moving your head a lot to catch all the action?  If so, does it affect gaming?

Personally could never go bigger than a 50 inch when I had the 10-12 foot distance but even then that was too big looking in from my kitchen through to my living room at 16 feet or so, it just constantly looked awkward and too big for me and 42 is about the upper size limit for me at a 9 foot distance. Right now I'm at 8 or 9 foot with a 32 inch and my 42 inch is in storage. I guess it really depends on you and your likes and how much you want the TV to be a center piece or something to catch the eye of, and impress vistors, the latter is a terrible reason to buy a big TV as it'll mostly be you using it.
