No one is making one buy steam shovelware - but I will give you GPU prices. Can't combat people's desire to sit on their ass and earn money while doing no work at all.

Crappy DRM has been a thing with PC games since forever, it not the common situation though, luckily.

What defines consoles is playing on a television and with a controller.  

Not exactly, you can do that with a PC too.

But Kinect has some of the worst games of 360. They are suddenly important just now, after being shitted on for years. No one cares about Kinect. Xbox One launch is the evidence. People care about old games. Countless remasters coming out on newer consoles proves that.

Ok so I'm gonna have to disagree and explain why.

You said "every single time" in other words everything is inferior in consoles in your opinion.

1: Consoles are DEDICATED machines made from the ground up for gaming whereas PC's are first and foremost data processing machines ADAPTED later on for games.

2: Consoles are natively made to play on a TV screen which is much bigger and more comfortable than a PC screen. And before you say you can play with a PC on a TV screen too, I'll say: sure you can but this move is one of PC following what consoles do natively, which is fine until someone says that PC's are superior. Gaming on TV is a console thing so the least a PC player should do when plugging their PC on a TV is admit that the console idea of playing on TV is a good one cause saying consoles are bad in what they do then doing the same by playing on a TV is contradictory.

3: Consoles use controllers made specifically for gaming whereas PC's use keyboards and mice made again for data processing and later on adapted for gaming.

4: A super high-end PC can be a beast of power, no argument there but such PC will cost you a lot of money, which is fine. I can totally understand that if you have a passion that you'll pay whatever to live out your passion. But the fact remains that such a powerful PC while having the advantage of power will have the inconvenience of the price. So in this example a PC's superiority in power will be an inferiority in price compared to a console.

5: A console will last an entire generation playing its games just as well on day one as it will do 7 or 8 years later. A PC will need at least twice a change in its GPU, RAM etc in a period of 8 years if you wish to have your games run super smooth 8 years later as it does on day one.

6: A console is much easier to use, you just plug it and you play your games whereas a PC will need a good knowledge of the system, maintenance, optimization, upgrading components, tweaks and so on... And you could argue that it can be fun if this stuff is your passion and I'd agree but the fact would still remain that a console is in general much easier to use.

7: A console (so far) does not catch viruses like a PC can.

And these are just off the top of my head... Now like I said, PC has its advantages and I am totally fine with anyone preferring PC for their games but saying that the PC is superior in EVERYTHING is just wrong. It's a way to play video games with pros and cons like any other systems.

I didn't get an Xbox One until 2016. Before the BC I would've never got the console.

I also didn't get one until mid-2017, after they introduced backwards compatibility.
