Nothing makes me cringe more than hearing "My platform of choice is better, because graphics!"

It's not just about graphics though, there are other things like BC, the controller, the UI, online features, etc.

I don't mean to cause flame saying this but Xbox are in a very bad place when it comes to games and buying the console would be a waste of money, There are few games you can only play on it that you can't on PC and BC is no excuse for not having exclusives worthy of peoples money. I so wanted to buy this console so may times but they actively push the money back into my wallet, I bought an X360 for one game, Alan Wake so it wouldn't take much.

People buy consoles for games not a place that's "the best for gaming". That makes absolutely no sense, want to play 360 era games? Buy a 360 for one tenth the price of an X1. What to play Xbox "exclusives"? Just play them on PC.

Beyond convenience, Exclusives are the next factor in peoples purchasing decisions in the console space. Xbox needs to drastically increase their game in this respect. Give me an Alan wake level exclusive, must buy game and I'll buy your console but not for the shoddy reasoning in the OP's article.

I don't feel like I wasted my money, and I already have a PS4 and get my multiplats there. I love the BC of the XB1, and while admittedly there are too few exclusives, I've managed to get 7 console exclusives so far and there are around 5 or so more that I'd like to get.

The UI is terrible and over complicated, BC is not needed as you can buy an x360 for half the price of a AAA game, the online features...huh? The controller might be a tad better but it's not so far ahead of the other consoles it'd be reason to buy the console plus if you're into controllers you'll want the elite and Razors Official PS4 controller is on PAR with the Xbox elite controller.

The matter is simple, it needs more games and Xbox need to focus on that and stop ignoring the matter both for Xbox owners and potential costumers. It really is a slap in the face on the level with valve not finishing trilogies.

And when all is said and done, the price is much higher than the PS4 pro. They need games, match the price of the pro and direct their efforts to creating a game console not a home media center that can play last gen games.

You may think that way, it doesn't mean that others do though. I for one really like backwards compatibility and I'm going to continue to bring that up because I want the PS4 to have it.

I don't understand, what do you mean exactly?

I mean that I have 7 console exclusives for my Xbox One.

Backwards compatibility is a bonus sure and if it was added I would have no objections to it but if I had to choose between BC and remasters/remakes I'd choose the latter 10 times over Backwards compatibility. Cause why would I want to play a game that looks obsolete when I can play it looking beautiful and up to date as a remaster or remake? Shadow of the Colossus is the perfect example of what I mean.

And again if PS3 games were so important to me in 2018 I would simply have kept my PS3 instead of selling it.

So to me BC is a bonus and nothing more.

You can have both. For example Dark Souls is backwards compatible but the Xbox One is also getting Dark Souls Remastered.

Consoles are defined by exclusives. Without those, PC is superior, every single time.

I'm gonna have to disagree. PC has its pros yes but it's most definitely NOT superior EVERY SINGLE time.

With consoles as they are these days, I will have to disagree right back.

Batman: Arkham Knight.

Hmm. Exclusive to X1 or are they available of 360/PC? They aren't exclusive if they can be played on another system, even if its 360.

I just said console exclusive, not exclusive, and it doesn't really matter to me if they're on PC because I prefer playing on consoles myself.

And thus the first Xbox console I don't own, in the same tier as the Wii. Trash tier.
